Description
Here is another shot of my bantam partridge cochin when she was a chick. Her name is Question 3. The reason we named her that was because we constantly had three questions about her for the longest time, "Is it a boy? Is it a girl? When will we know?" She had a super red comb as a young chick, but it stayed small, so it was quite confusing!Yay chickens!

Bantams are fantastic! I love how they're less destructive to the yard, eat way less, but the eggs are about 3/4 the size of a normal egg. They're also just way easier to cuddle and play with. XD That's awesome, what breeds of chickens does your mother keep?

awww.... reminds me of Maple, my old little partridge cochin mix, when he was a chick! I was hoping he'd be a hen, but no......

That's too bad about Maple...cochins are such sweet birds! Will you be getting any cochins in the future?
I thought mine was a male for the longest time, since she had the big red comb really early on, but surprise! We lucked out, though unfortunately she turned out to be an egg-eater. Her personality though was super sweet and mellow.

Hehe one day we'll end up with one of each chicken breed! XD Chickens are too cute!
We were surprised when she started eating her own eggs! We gave her more calcium, more treats, but alas, it didn't do anything to fix the problem. She would also eat everyone else's eggs too! >.< That wasn't something I expected from a cochin, since they're supposed to be good mothers. I hope you'll never have to encounter this problem! It can be so frustrating when the hen has a super sweet personality, but a nasty habit!

Thanks! This particular chicken though, we no longer have with us. She passed on last year, but she had the cutest chick pictures for me to remember her by.

Me too! Bantams are so tiny and cute! I love their little eggs too. Plus they do less damage to the yard. XD

YOU SHOULD GET A (live) CHICKEN. Your life will not be complete until you get a chicken!
