Totoro Kart- combining a game series I enjoy and a beloved childhood movie! Has anyone else picked up Mario Kart 8, which was just released a few days ago?
Originally the piece was going to have many more characters in it, including Tatsuo, Kanta, Granny, and Yasuko, but it just looked too cluttered so I ended up having only the two girls and the totoros in it.
Also thanks to marmiz and my sister for feedback on this piece!

Hallo! I picked up mario Kart 8 just a few days ago! And apparently I'm pretty bad at it.... Le sud. Oh well! It's still fun enough. And I see a few changes have been made with the picture. I'd probably be driving the catbus because... Well it's a catbus. Also, I like those large characters! Have you seen the videos or gifs of how mean Luigi is in this game? I guess he's mad that his year is over. Let it go Luigi!!! You had a whole year!! Also, I took him online and totally brought him shame. It's like I'm a magnet for everything!!

I have seen the gifs of Weegee! He's got them ungry eyebrows that's for sure! I've been watching some of my own replays and they're pretty fun to see and slow down to get a closer look at all the animations and differences between the characters. Baby Rosalina seems to look perpetually vengeful actually. Let it go Luigi indeed! Let it gooo! Let it gooo! Can't hold it back annny more! 
Also I'm a little sad that I seems Rosalina's voice actress changed from the Wii version. If I hadn't been looking at the screen, I would have thought the might have been Peach! It's not as low and mature as it used to be and is quite high pitched and gleeful-teenage-fangirl sounding. It's fitting for the game but it doesn't seem very suitable for her actual character. Have you noticed it?

Oh yes, nobody knew I picked up tha Kawt. NOBODY. NOT YOU, NOT ME. NOBODY!! Now that I've gotten my ungry whisper out of the way, we can continue.
I haven't actually done slow mo for any of the characters yet. I haven't played in a couple of days (since my last beat down online... But that's not why I haven't played... I swear!! I'm not scarred for life!!). For who is more of a magnet... I would guess Luigi, since I haven't played as Bowser online. It was horrific. "Hai guys! Ouch!! Just wait a... Ooooh da slpeens! All my spleens!!" For least favorite stage... Ummm... Not sure again since I haven't played in a couple of days and my goldfish memory isn't helping me (I hear goldfish never forget to... Umm... something). The classic Wario stage usually beats me up pretty good. Which is sad because I used to love that level and now it hates me. Why you hate me so?!!?
I haven't noticed the new voice actress actually. I only used her a couple of times, but now I do recall that it wasn't so deep and mature. I've done a lot of playing while listening to music or stand up comedy. Not that the music is bad, but sometimes I have it on from Monster Chatter when I switch the game over and it stays on. I'll have to pay more attention to gam... Hey! What's that over there? Or there?!?!

I do enjoy that Wario stage, even though the second fire ring in that muddy jump area always gets me! Blast, foiled again! 1st! Second! Sixth! Tenth! Hey guys, stop running over me! I actually need my spleen! Go hit that spleenless Weegee over there instead! I remember when I first played it, I kept falling off that last turn on the antigravity part. Sud sud. How is the online for you? Is there anything you would change about it, and have you been disconnected?
And over there yonder is a squirrel!! Wait, what's a squirrel? Are those the little demons that run around on a beach? Hm hm, the world may never know!
Do you normally have other music playing while gaming, or is it specifically for MC?

The Wario stage... I also get hit by at least one of those rings... Mostly I get de-spleened by other players. Oh, shell? Another shell? Lightning bolt? Smooshed? Wheeeee!!
I still have only played online once and haven't played much of the game period in the last week or so (not that I don't enjoy it. I just know it's a game I can come back to and it's not like I'm missing any sort of story or anything). When I was online that one night I got disconnected a lot, but ended up being able to play a few rounds where I los... won all the time. It wasn't even fair for anyone how much winning I did... Have you played online at all? What did you think? As far as what would I change? The ability for some sort of chat option would have been nice. I don't always chat with randoms in MC, but I still would have liked the choice. At least be able to talk to people in my friends' list when in random rooms.
I don't always have other music or things going on with games. It depends. If I'm playing with randoms and just typing I might. It really depends on the mood I'm in. Sometimes I feel like listening to something new or specific and I put on my headphones and go. It also kinda depends if I'm also drawing while everything is going on.

I do notice the green shells seem to bounce a lot more before breaking compared to previous games. And the air-hits from red shells, gah! And the blue shell wizzing by on the ground this time! Also the fact that bananas look very similar to coins on levels like the N64 Rainbow Road don't help! I want my monies! I would also like my spleen but that's not as important.
Nope! I haven't touched MK8 online at all! The most onliney things I've done on the Wii U are probably Miiverse and looking at other people's scores on Wii Fit U. And then that one time I went online on MC before they combined all the servers just to see what it looked like, though I didn't actually play with anyone. So much onlining! I haven't touched MK8 in a week, and as you said, it's not like I'm going to forget any story and I'm not rushing to play with folks online either. Since it's the week-and-a-half before some family friends come over to stay, and then I'm leaving for Greece, we've been pretty busy, plus moving between two houses quite often! More chat options for you eh? It is much more convenient to chat rather than type in MC. And in MK8, not getting to chat during the race with your friends is a little disappointing (or is that not the case? I think it was only chatting during the lobby?). A lot of the fun in MK8 is hearing your friends' reactions to things that happen during the race. And so much winning you have partaken in! Surely it is the power of the air dynamos fueling your kawt? What is the secret of your success?
Do you have a specific playlist you go through while you draw, or is it just anything in general?
