But really, Zuko doesn't really understand the fine art of euphemisms. Whenever Mai said "fruit tart" she meant sex, and she got mad if he didn't catch on. He thought it was a universal code word, but apparently sometimes it just means fruit tart. Girls are crazy!

Oh, definitely. That's somewhat of a good thing though! It has a little something for everyone of any age. It's kind of got that layers-of-humor dynamic that shows like the Simpsons have, except ATLA is obviously much more sophisticated.
And it's quite alright. I probably hadn't thought of it in that way myself simply because I ship Zutara. XD
