An original character I created using HeroMachine 3. Introducing: The Rift.

Quick Bio: The Rift is a character I’ve been working on. She uses portal discs (the discs on her belt) to open portals pretty much anywhere she needs to go. She is skilled in many forms of martial arts including: Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Taekwondo, Karate, etc.

Pretty cool. The outfit seems a little generic, but I always have a special fondness for teleporters.

Generic sometimes works. Black and white are great combo. I picked it because it reminds of Spot from Marvel. I know a lot of people who thinks he's not really special, especially villain-wise, but I've always thought he's cool, so I kinda incorporated that concept into Rift.

That's kind part of the problem. I immediately looked at the character and said "wow, she looks like Spot." It's hard to give your character her own identity when everybody is associating her with another character in their minds.

True, but to be honest how many people actually know Spot? He isn't exactly on the same level as a Doctor Doom, or a Magneto, or a Venom, etc. Her background that I want to build isn't like Spot's. I still think she can have her own identity, even if she seems sort of like Spot.
