Behold, The Flock!!This is an unofficial team of some of my OCs. Unofficial meaning I have no current plans to make these amazing bird-themed characters into a team, being that they belong to other teams, but thought it'd be cool to post this because I didn't realize I had all of these bird-themed heroes (I only have five drawn out, I actually have more...)
From left to right:
Blue Jay, Mallard, Flamingo, Pigeon, Puffin
Quick Bios:
Blue Jay:
She can communicate, and control blue jays. She also has the ability to induce mutations within their genes to create pterodactyl-like
blue jays (dubbed Pterojays). She's able to summon them by flocks, but the amount of power it would take to transform flocks into Pterojays would probably kill her, so she usually only transforms a couple at a time. She also carries a baseball bat, because she isn't afraid to fight with her own two hands.
Mallard:
Mallard is a Nightwing-type character. She patrols her city, Synopolis (City of Dogs, City of Sins), and keeps scum off the streets. She's a highly trained fighter, knows multiple forms of martial arts, and carries a bow-staff. I'm still tinkering with her bio as we speak.
Flamingo:
Flamingo is actually based on a superhero from the golden age that fell into Public Domain, also named Flamingo. My take of Flamingo is trying to merge grittiness with outlandish, humorous tones. He's this dark, gruesome killer in all black...carrying a little, pink lawn flamingo...Granted, it's bloody, but what? Flamingo is actually a member of the Melee Society. The Melee Society are a hate group of people who believe superhumans are scum, and deserve to die. Each member is given a melee weapon, and that is their name. For Flamingo, it's Flamingo. However, Flamingo doesn't believe in their beliefs. His mother was a superhuman, and she was killed by the Melee Society when he was a boy. He swore vengeance on them by ultimately becoming them, tearing them apart from the inside.
Pigeon:
Pigeon is a fangirl. She's an 11th grade Honors student, works as a waitress at a 50's themed diner, and in Mallard's biggest fan (so she claims, hence the outfit). Her other favorite hero is Mongrel (who I haven't introduced yet officially in drawing form), but she wants to fight crime like Mallard. She's ultimately still learning the ropes, and is honestly trying to balance having a double life, and facing the consequences it creates.
Puffin:
This Canadian femme fatale is a special-ops level fighter. Puffin served with Marble Fox and others as Canada's core team of superheroes, but has been solo after Marble Fox moved to the states, and the rest of the team disassembled. She's currently serving as a mercenary (strictly for the good guys), and is trying to adjust back into being alone, feeling slightly betrayed that her sister-in-arms left. Puffin is honestly inspired by Nightwing as well.
