Mach 40 and Sonic can only travel CLOSE to light speed in his super form. His hyper form can travel at light speed, but that form isn't canon.

I love the blue blur's games and fandom... But the only times he's gonne at the speed of light is when he's in his super form... Sooo, unless the hyper form grants him at the very least a 11x times boost on his super form's top speed then he'll never catch up and surpass Flash's top speed.
