Avion Pro v1.3 features a fully skinned Contact List, Chat Window, Profile Editor, and Add Contact Window. Customize it to your liking with options like wingless layout that save you a little space and hide those glass borders. If you have trillian pro, or your willing to do a little... "editing*," there are a wide array of themes to choose from.
This Skin is a collaboration between two Trillian forum members.

*Editing of the theme.ini file in the avion skin folder can allow you to change your theme in Trillian Basic. Instructions will be posted soon, you can find them by searching the trillian forums for now.

This skin is really nice... except for one thing. There's no minimize button for the buddy list! There's plenty of room up there. You think you could update the skin to have it?

We never thought it is needed. It's only usefull when trillian is in the windows taskbar, and who wants it there anyway

I don't really follow. Of course I have it in the taskbar. I want to be able to check the buddy list every now and then. And then sometimes I will need it to temporarily be out of the way. I mean, every program/window/anything that exists in Windows has a minimize button. The instant message windows have it in this skin. Most of the other skins have it for the buddy list, such as Inspirat Astra (which looks like you made

With the Avion Chat Style, would it be possible to have the timestamp show after every message of the same person?
IE. The same person sends a few messages consecutively. The time only shows on the first one. Would it be possible to have it show for all?
Could this be achieved with an XML edit?

not ignored, i just have no idea how to do this... Scream81 from the trillian forums programmed the skin from my designs. i'll talk with him about this idea as i like it too, but we are both busy so maintaining and adding/changing features will be slow.

For some reason I can't use the other color variations. I can get to the menu, but after that when I try to click on it, nothing happens. I used to have this on my desktop with Vista and Trillian 4.x and it worked then. I'm using the skin's beta for Trillian 5 (although I was using the Trillian 4 version until today..) and neither of them work.

Color variations are for Trillian Pro Customers only. Unless of course your moddify the Avion-Themes.xml file in the avion skin folder. there are instructions for doing that somewhere on the trillian forums or these comments.
A similar thing happened to me, my Pro subscription ran out while i was use 4.x so when i switched to 5 beta i was no longer able to switch color themes.
You can check if thats your problem by looking for a golden box with the trillian logo in it next to the color theme entries in the menu. If that golden box is present, you need to update your pro subscription.

Thanks for that explanation. I realized shortly after posting my comment that when I switched to 5 beta my pro subscription ran out without me realizing it. I've had my color variations back for quite a while now but thank you for taking the time to respond.

Is there any way I can make my font display as white without actually changing it to white?
I like to use a black century gothic 10pt font for IM but I can't see it in the chat window while I'm typing it and it's really annoying.

Yeah it shows in the display fine, I just can't see what I'm typing in the editbox because it's completely black.
I just set the font to white but now people are complaining because they have white backgrounds.

hmm well the best would be if you edit the CW-MessageBox.png or if you replace it with the CW-DrawBox.png (all in \images\chatwindow. The Editbox is by design always dark, its after all a mainly dark skin

I can't seem to get the facebook/twitter windows to work with this theme, which is incredibly unfortunate as it's a wonderful skin.
Is that a problem at my end or is that yet-to-be-implemented?

facebook and twitter is only in trillian 5 which is still in beta.. which means you must go download the beta 1.4 of this skin in the trillian forums. as for your other comment about white fonts, if you go to change your font color and you select the "default" check box in the color selection window avion will handle your font colors for you allowing you to read incoming and outgoing messages in white, but the font color remains black for everybody else to read.

Avion Pro v1.3 is a skin for Trillian Astra (latest version 4.2.x) so it can't have all the new features of Trillian 5. I have a betaversion for Trillian 5 ready that can be found in my profile...

Great theme, and thanks for the tip on editing theme.ini. You single-handedly made the switch from old Trillian to Astra acceptable.
