I found that after Gene died the show started to become a bit more soap opera than space opera. DS9 and Voyager should have been called Quark can break any law while we rip off Babylon 5 and The Holographic Doctor show....I realize I'm being a little unfair. There are some good if not great TNG DS9 and Voyager episodes, but I felt a distinct change in the shows.

You're entitled to your opinion, of course. Mine just happens to differ. I know whatcha mean about the change, and that's just what kept me watching every Trek series, TNG and afterwards. Granted, the plots did tend to get sorta heavy-handed from time to time, but I still dig'em. I just hope the new movie doesn't suck XD
