The Time War had many such weapons...the science and weaponry available to the Daleks makes them a universal threat.They could wink the Borg out of existance if they chose.

Not saying much for Star Wars though. Alec Guiness made it sound epic....but its really been a let down for me....I can't watch it.

True I do think it woudl have been best for Lucas to have just let the books continue the story and maybe adapt them into animated cartoons (I woudl have loved a cartoon based on Rogue Squadron or teh Tales of Mos Eisley Catina)

Yeah or at leats tell Joss Whedon to avoid Fox like the plague. Go to Showtime, or HBO or SyFy just not Fox you may not get as many viewers but the quality and control much better
