A grand tribute to the good βol US of A, and who better to present such a tribute than the legendary Amazon warrior who bleeds Stars Nβ Stripes herself?
Thereβs no doubt in my mind that Wonder Womanβs part of the fabled Trinity of superheroes for a reason, for her strength, her diplomatic ability and very keen mind, among other attributes.
Β
Although the outfit seems kinda risquΓ© and might be something WW would disagree with, her double-handed grip on the Lasso of Truth is well done and that cape looks majestic, without a shadow of a doubt. Wicked work on Wonder Woman, mate!

Thanks
I've always figured as she comes from an island of women....and would have no experience with me before that....running around Paradise island in a toga....the WW outfit is just more colourful...not really risquΓ©Β

I suppose that is very true, and coming from an island of women and so forth, it's kinda silly to be worried about such a thing.
You're welcome and take care! Β

A good and modern wonder woman costume should resemble and look like it was derived from ancient greek armor while still maintaining certain wonder woman features.

Great work, love her cape! I also agree that Steve should be her love interest, at least in the movie, if they ever make it!

For sure....plus I'm not a fan of her dating superheroes. I think that separates her from the world she is meant to be ambassador to

That's partly why I've always been a Diana/Steve Trevor guy. It's really cute to me that an ordinary person can make it with a superhero. Plus, it's a lot less predictable than hooking up with Superman or Batman.

It's a lot more what her mission is to. Relate to mans world and show them the Amazon ways. Not hook up with an alien or a guy with severe emotional issues

I'm in a strange boat with this subject - I don't mind Wonder Woman dating Superman for a while, but I was never into the Wonder-Woman-Chasing-Batman subplot from the DCAU Justice League/JLU days. Why I'm not sure; maybe because I've always rooted for Batman/Catwoman, or maybe just because back around the time that show was on I was starting to lose interest in Batman due to overexposure & the tendency of some writers to put him in "Bat-God Mode". I can at least see Wonder Woman being drawn to Superman (when he's in "normal" mode whatever that is anymore) for his kindness & compassion, but Batman is an entirely different animal, one who takes... getting used to. :shrugs: I am not saying Batman is devoid of kindness & compassion, I merely say that he is different from Superman in how he expresses it. Of course a Lois/Supes/WW triangle may not have been the best option for the DCAU Justice League given that they'd had 3 years of Superman/Lois Lane shipping & to turn around on that might have made Superman look like a jerk, not in the same way that Greg Weisman's "Young Justice" animated made him look like a jerk but a jerk nonetheless.Β
I know some fans don't like superheroes dating other superheroes (or any action oriented character dating other action oriented characters for that matter) on the grounds that it "disconnects them from humanity", an ideology I'm not *entirely* sure I agree with, but to each their own. I think if Superman retains enough normal human friends in his civilian life as Clark Kent he should be able to stay grounded.Β
Ultimately, it's all down to the writing for me. My default mode of thinking is to just go with whatever the official "canon" pairing happens to be, unless of course it's written really badly, then I might amuse myself rooting for some alternate pairing. With Robotech for example I eventually grew annoyed with how the Lin Minmei/Rick Hunter/Lisa Hayes subplot played out, specifically in the "Reconstruction Blues" episodes where the dragging out of the subplot was annoying at best and disturbing at worst. By the end I was like "Will someone please just kill Rick already? He doesn't deserve a hot [slightly] older girlfriend!"Β
Anyhow, I would happily root for Diana & Steve so long as the writing was good. I haven't read everything from the New 52 - partly because I just can't afford it & when I spend recklessly on trades I tend to spend on the trades for characters I actually care about - but from what I read of New 52 Justice League - which had a horrible opening arc followed by an okay 2nd arc (the Villain's Journey) and a reasonably good 3rd arc (Throne of Atlantis) - they really dropped the ball on updating Steve Trevor for a new era. Supes & WW had a few cute scenes in 'Throne of Atlantis' but they are at a disadvantage of being in a universe that is built on a very shaky foundation. IΒ
As for Diana & Steve, well, maybe in the New 53 true believers... Β

Plot and writing always matter. I will be the first to drop my feelings on a subject if the story makes it work...makes it real...and not transient.Β
I've no problem with heroes dating heroes. Canary and Green Arrow work well together. I like Miss Martian and Superboy, Walley and Artemis. But sometimes the pairing they push forward don't work for me. I could never see Diana lasting long with Bruce.
DC made a big mistake and lost me as a fan. Should there be a 53...I will still be absent from their readership

I couldn't really get into the YJ pairings. Ms. Martian & Superboy both annoyed me as separate characters & they annoyed me even more together. Wally & Artemis were less annoying but I would've rather seen Wally grow up with Linda Park (his real end game love interest from the comics) - and Lord knows I liked Artemis a hell of a lot more than Ms. Martian. That's just me though. All life is an ink blot, after all.Β
I couldn't see things lasting between Diana & Bruce either.Β
As for reading, be it DC or Marvel or indie, I just go wherever my curiosity leads me.Β

YJ was not the same universe. It was intentionally made another reality so they could play with the characters more then if they used the prime universe. It makes Aqualad, Artemis and others who are tangents iof the characters we know sorta acceptable

Lion-O-VS-He-Man In reply to Inspector97 [2014-03-03 03:02:39 +0000 UTC]
I know, each media adaptation is its own universe unto itself thus not completely bound to the same universe of the source material, but still... I just wasn't feeling it.Β
But you want to hear something weird - there seems to be a small group of YJ fans who thought Superman & Wonder Woman had something going on in that show's universe, even though they hardly ever appeared & had little to no characterization. Other than Lois not showing up I'm not sure where they get that, though it did lead to some funny manips -Β
