Heeeeere's Alfie! As you can plainly see by my blatant stark-white legs, the top part of the digitigrade stilts have not been furred.He also has no pecs. He needs pecs. And more padding in his quads. And claws on his bottom feet. Dunno when I'll get around to those. (I know it sounds like not much more to do, but when you factor in all the finishing touches I plan on doing when the bodysuit is complete, there are at least another twenty to thirty hours of work on this thing.)
My mom takes all the credit for sewing. My brother and stepdad take credit for building the stilts. I've spent hours upon hours on pretty much everything else.
I should probably be working on it instead of posting a picture of it. Hyurp.

Well, hai there! 8D I'm glad you found me on here! I check my messages on dA much more often than on YouTube.
The stilts aren't too bad to walk on, actually. You just need to make sure that the base is large enough for balance. I did get some nice blisters during my first long endeavors in the stilts, but that's probably just because of the angle of the shoes. Someday I'll build a better werewolf costume with better stilts! XD

ive notaced something the claws on the hands are dramaticly meaner looking then other werewolf costumes ive seen here on da did you take any special care in designing them or did they just turn out awsome on the fly

The claws are made of polymer clay. It's a bit pricey, but totally worth it! All you do is mold the shape and bake them in the oven, then they're practically invincible. I can only take credit for the paint job, though--my friend ~Klauen made the claws. He made a defective pair of gloves [link] that he couldn't wear and he gave them to me. I recycled the claws from him and just painted them with acrylic paints. :3
The stilts are homemade, actually! I designed them after this guy's build: [link] I recommend building stilts yourself rather than buying them. It's much cheaper.

D'aw, thanks! 8D It's about 98% finished, now! All I need to do is sew on his tail and the costume is finally complete! (Unless I break his foot for a third time, which is entirely possible.)

The stilts are easy enough to walk in if you make the base wide enough. I accidentally broke one of his feet the other day, though, so now I've got a small base on one foot and a wide base on the other. It's kinda awkward. XD

Well... I can't take credit for the suit. I conceptualized it into a design that would be easy for me to get in and out of on my own, but Mom was the one who did all the work in putting it together. So technically I've still never tried making a fursuit. XD
I based the stilts on this design: [link] I kind of wish that it weren't too late to go back and make adjustments, though. They look really awkward and unnatural furred.
Videos will come, don't worry! But he won't be finished finished for a while. I'll probably spend some time painting him and making small adjustments and stuff when I'm in college.

Dude, I seriously thought your legs were just paper tubing at first. ANYWAY. This looks great! Do you think claws on his hind feet will make it harder/more dangerous to walk in the suit?
This is really impressive. I wouldn't even know where to begin with something like this. Do you buy the fur in roles? Or... how does that even work?

Nah, claws wouldn't affect the function of the hind feet at all. The toes are hinged, so every time I take a step, they act like a normal foot and 'give way' a little bit. XD I wish that I didn't need the base to be so large for the sake of balance, though... There's no way to make that look natural.
I began with the mask. After probably 20-30 hours on that because I had no clue what I was doing, I made the hands. Everything from there on out required some serious help from my family. I can't take credit for any of the bodysuit at all, because I don't have the sewing skill to put something like this together. :/
We accidentally wasted a lot of fur while making the suit... All I have left are scraps. So we need to go back to the craft store a third time and buy another fourth of a yard for the pecs and (possibly) a tail.

There is a zipper, actually! Right down the front of the chest. The bodysuit is in two pieces. I put the pants on first and then unzip the suit and pull it on like you would a one-piece swimsuit. Zip it up, then come the gloves and stilts, and voilΓ ! Instant werewolf.
The last costume I made I couldn't get into or out of on my own, so I made it a point to make this one easy to put on and take off. XD

smart making it several pieces! it would be pretty hard if the hole costume was sewn together, but that would probably work too if you had a really big zipper hehe
