I found this show again, can't get over it it's so preciousSo I tried some different design things and my own style, it doesn't look like the show and I didn't really intend for it to. Yeah the feet look like shit
I tried making his lightbulb look more like a lightbulb I guess like the inside idk
Is this even worth putting a signature on? Probably not
This won't get any attention

The truth Whatever Happened To Robot Jones?, it was the last show I enjoyed on Cartoon Network...What followed afterwards no longer so much...

Heh, I like this, he looks annoyed. It might seem weird for me to focus on that detail, but I'm sick of all the RJ fanart where he looks mindlessly happy.

Thanks! Naw, it ain't weird. I've noticed a big portion of his fanart portraying him as being super happy, which I get, but I personally prefer his less optimistic side or whatever, I guess. 'Dunno how to explain it, but when I see him portrayed less as a cheese-ball full of smiles, I feel like it fits him better.

It certainly fits him better, since his life is a nightmare no matter how you look at it; the entire school (including the staff) hates him and always shits on him save for about three people (and even then it's not consistent), he's got two demented evil twin geniuses trying to steal his brain, his headmaster hates robots especially and has a personal grudge against him, and his entire species (if you can technically call robots a species) is brutally oppressed by humanity. And we know that this does take its toll on him, given that he sometimes suffers psychotic breakdowns.
We really need more dark Robot art.

Indeed. Really sucks, the show could've explored so much about his own view on the world and how it changes as the series went on. However, we all know how that went...
I may deliver some dark art in the future if I get any ideas. As for now all I have are some garbage rough sketches of the other characters in a folder. And an unfinished drawing of Robot having one of those said breakdowns...lol

I'm pretty sure Greg Miller wanted to do something darker, or at least more cerebral, than what we ended up getting. He made a point that even before the voice was changed, he was constantly having the executives screw with his vision for the show, and I think that's why so much of the marketing material makes Robot look like a "cheese-ball of smiles", as you put it. I often wonder exactly how it would've looked if Greg had had full control...

I kinda wish he got the show on Adult Swim, really. Kinda like Samurai Jack ended up doing.

Oh no, I agree with you. I still find the show enjoyable, but it's a pale shadow of what it could've been. I'd give an arm and a leg for a Robot Jones continuation on AS.
