Description
This was my second idea for the Weird World War I challenge. It was also a mix of two ideas, one being that WWI erupts between Italy and France over Tunisia, and the other that the U.K. and the Ottoman Empire are closer than in OTL.In this world, the Ottomans establish lasting relations with the United Kingdom by helping them out in the Anglo-Spanish War (1585-1604). After that, the Ottomans helped the British out in many other important wars.
In 1914, war erupted between France and Italy over Tunisia. The Germans and Austro-Hungarians jumped in to help their ally, and so World War I began. The Ottomans were neutral for about a year, before they decided to help their old allies, the British, in hopes of getting southern Thrace back.
Eventually they do get southern Thrace, as well as Tripolitania from the Italians. However, in the southern reaches of the Empire, the Arab Revolt, even though it don't have support from the British, succeeds, and the Ottomans loose the Hejaz area. Soon after, the British purchase the land south of Iraq from them. In 1925, the Sultan at the time changes his title to King, and the country officially becomes the Ottoman Kingdom of Turkey.

If the Point of Divergence is as far back as the early 16th Century then the English would have helped in the war between the Habsburg Empire and The Ottomans, so their wouldn't be a Bulgaria or Serbia as the English would have tipped the scales in the favor of The Ottomans. Did the Balkans have some sort of Revolution or were released in some other war?

Hmm, I didn't think that part out entirely, though yes, I guess there was some sort of revolution. I'm doing more research and planning on editing the map sometime soon.

Mostly. France took the Occitan valleys from Italy after the Italians lost, but that's mostly it.
