Because the world needs more Monster Party fanart.

This was one of my favorite NES games, and in retrospect I can't believe that it didn't scare the living heck out of my six year old self. The first level was basically an 8 bit Hell, complete with pixelated, blood-drooling zombies and a ground made of tortured looking skulls. But the best(and by best, I mean confusingly violent) was the ending, where everyone's face melts off. And then it was 'all just a dream!' Good times.

Anyway, the main character in Monster Party is an eight year old boy named Mark who is kidnapped by a griffin on his way home from a Little League game. Together, they fight all sorts of crazy bosses (seriously...oversized shrimp tempura and a singing plant that calls you 'baby' are just some examples). It's a cute, creepy little platformer that, for whatever reason, I really really like.
