Description
I've been trying to improve my black & white work lately... so I broke out the grey paper and went for it. I liked the idea but it needs more work. But still I thought that a segment of my watchers would like this so I'm posting it.Its based on this: [link]

ok i see what's up. i don't do muany reclining shots myself but i find using a calligraphic stroke helps loosen me up. think you just inspired me to start a reclining piece. swift dude.

Oh I like this. It's a lot softer and and the lines flow with more ease than is usual for your work.
Especially in the face. I loved the feet and the pose.
It also seems to have a lot of dimension to it, a very compelling quality.
This is one of more beautiful peices that I've seen of your work.

This is pretty funny because I actually think that its pretty bad...LOL. I'm going to do a different hopefully better version soon. It actually looks better in person though, a bit less contrast.
Thanks btw : )

Be careful of overworking it (that would be one of my criticism of some of your other work, that it looks a little over done and stiff sometimes) because this is really lovely.
I do hope to see it in person...how big is it in real life?

It's 11x 14 btw. As are most of the grey pieces. I generally tend to do things from 9x12 to 11x17. Nothing smaller than that and maybe one or two things bigger.
I just can't work that small.

Well I'm going to do a version of this with a background. I'll change the face up a bit and maybe idealize the figure a bit. I'm thinking mainly from the feet to the knees.
When you say over worked which pieces are you referring to? The other grey stuff or the color pieces?
