New commission for

While Ash and Pikachu were returning to Kanto after their adventures in the Unova Region, they were about to pass through an old but still sturdy wooden pavilion when suddenly, they were ambushed by the Team Rocket Trio as usual, this time equipped with some kind of small tank to try to kidnap Pikachu. They almost accomplished their goals, until they were blasted away by a flash that came as fast as lighting. Said flash was not one but two familiar Pokemon from the Kanto Region; they were two Butterfrees, bigger than the species' average size. One was a female with a pink coloured body and two peculiar looking wings while the biggest one looked like a normal Butterfree save for one detail; there was a piece of cloth, decoloured and torn away due to use. Then Ash realized that he was in front of an old friend...

So yeah, this is a piece showing an emotional reunion between Ash and his Butterfree, who along his mate, are now much bigger after living in total freedom flying the skies of the Kanto region. Apart from their new size, the pink Butterfree has adquired a new set of wings, much more stylized than the normal ones. And so they are all sharing together the moment in the middle of this old pavilion located at one of the entrances of the region ^^

This is the biggest artwork I made. This file is 10 MB of heaviness, and let's not talk about the .SAI file lmao. And funnily enough, I begun to draw this before they showed the SwSh trailer with the Gigantamax Butterfree in it, that was just a funny coincidence.

This took a lot of work but I really enjoyed making it, who wouldn't love to have a giant butterfly? It would certainly be a great ride to fly through the skies.
