"Oh no! H-he...Ludwig can't be d-dead!" You whispered out as you started to think of the very worst.

"I'm not dead..." You heard Ludwig say strictly as he walked up to you.

"Ludwig!" You cried out with joy as you ran to give him a hug.

"I-It took you so long why didn't you come for me sooner?" You asked as you looked up at Ludwig's face. Though his features where different from earlier instead of him lightly smiling at you his expression was cold almost as if he was angry.

"L-Ludwig? Is something's wrong?" You asked as you went to lightly place your hand on Ludwig's face.

You watched as his cold eyes made eye contact with yours as he slapped away your hand. You grabbed your hand out of a mixture if fear and shock.

"Ludwig, I-I don't understand why...why are you acting like this?" You asked as you watched Ludwig slowly, step by step, make his way closer to your shaking body.

"(Name) you must tell me vhat your Vater told you zhe night he vas killed..." Ludwig said simply as you started to back up afraid of what Ludwig was going to do.

"M-My Vater told me not to tell anyone!"

"(NAME)! You are going to tell me und your going to do it now!" Ludwig yelled as he slammed your body against the oak tree by your now very tender shoulders.

"L-Ludwig...what are you-"

"Don't mess vith me (Name) I have asked you nicely, und I vill not do it again!" Ludwig spat out as his face was inches away from yours.

"O-Ok, Bitte just let me go." You pleaded as you started to hopelessly struggle.

"No. Once you tell me I vill let you go!" Ludwig said strictly as he kept a firm grip on you shoulders.

"Fine it was the 23rd of August...

***STORY FLASH BACK THING!***

"Ja (Name), your finally of zhe age zhat we zhink ve should tell you." Your father said with a sad look on his face.

"What are you talking about, Vater?" You asked as you continued to bounce Peter on your knee.

"(Name) you know how I am an SS officer..."

"Ja of coarse I do, I'm so pound of you because of that!" You said as you watched your father walk over and sit by your mother.

"You shouldn't be (Name)." You father said as he looked into your big eyes with his crystal blue ones.

"What do you mean? Your doing amazing work to bring Deutschland back to it's former glory!"

"Deutschland is not winning back the glory and honor our Vater's once obtained...instead ve are plunging our country into darkness." You father said keeping his eyes on you.

"I-I don't understand, Hitler is taking Deutschland places we never though possible! Why would you say that?"

"Your just a child you shouldn't have to understand (Name), but Hitler has started a new program..." Your father trailed off as if deciding if he should continue.

"....Hitlers new program is about preserving the perfect German blood..."

"Oh okay, I still don't see why that's a bad thing."

"To get his perfect race Hitler has to get "rid" of all the races that he finds unfit..."

"What races aren't fit to live in this world? Where all just people. How is he getting rid of these races?" You fired off questions as fear,confusion and curiosity started to build up inside of you.

"Vell sveetheart... Hitler zhinks zhat...Jews are an unfit race to live on zhis earth so he has started to build vork und death camps to..."eliminate" zhe Jews..."

"W-What!? Why...they are people too!....oh my... V-Vattie y-you're not part of that are you?" You asked in shock.

"No honey, I just like you zhink zhat vhat Hitler is doing is wrong, und zhat is vhat your mutter und I vanted to tell you... I am an SS officer but I have helped five different families to switzerland so zhat zhey vill be safe...und I signed our family up vith the underground net vork so ve maybe holding Jews in our house until zhe war ends..."

"So everything Deutschland is fighting for is wrong?" You asked as all the information given to you started to sink in.

"Ja, ve can only hope und pray for zhe day zhe Allies end zhe terror Deutschland is creating."

"Und (Name) zhere's one more zhing ve should tell you..."

"Not tonight Hans. (Name) already has enough on her mind ve don't need to add more...you should head up to bed now (Name)." You mother said finally adding something to the conversation.

"O-Okay. Ich liebe Dich Vater. Ich liebe Dich Mutter." You said as you gave Peter to your mother and started to make you way up the stairs to your room.

"Ich liebe Dich, mien sveetheart." Was the last thing you father said to you before you went to bed, and as it turned out it was the very last thing your father would ever say to you.

***END OF STORY FLASH BACK***

"So Officer Smith vas right..." You heard Ludwig whisper as he kept his head low as he let go of you."

"You see Ludwig my Vater was just trying to save people from our despicable country's doings." You said as you tried to get Ludwig to say something.

"YOUR VATER DESERVED TO DIE!" You watched as Ludwig yelled out in anger.

"Excuse me?" You asked in disbelief at what your dear friend Ludwig had said.

"I know you heard vhat I said, und it's true your Vater got vhat vas coming to him." Ludwig spat in anger.

"He was doing the right thing!" You said as your voice started to rise in anger and pain.

"By committing treason against his home Country?!"

"If you didn't notice the ideas and the thoughts that Germany is running with are so messed up, it will be a gift the day the Allies end this war!" You started to scream out to try and make your point.

"Germany is on its vay to zhe glory und power it deserves!" Ludwig screamed back at you.

"By killing innocent people! Ludwig wake up Germany is killing men, women children und babes just because they're Jews! That is wrong!"

"(Name), Jews aren't people zhey are zhe vermin of zhis vorld und if ve don't kill zhem zhey vill kill us!"

"***SLAP***" you felt as the anger inside of you overflowed as you took your left hand and hit Ludwig across the face as hard as your body would allow. It was a odd feeling as your sweaty palm made contact with Ludwig's smooth, cool face. You even heard the crips noise your hand made as it left a red hand print on his face proving how hard you truly hit Ludwig.

"YOUR ALMOST AS MUCH OF A MONSTER AS OUR COUNTRY IS!" You screamed out in pure anger. Some of the anger was towards Ludwig the other part was just some of the grieve you still felt towards you family's death.

You watched as Ludwig winced as he tried to touch the spot where your hand had made contact with his face. You watched as Ludwig slowly turned and faced you. It was weird he had started the day off smiling, then it turned to anger, yet now you watched as the very clear emotion of pain was painted on his face almost as clear as the red hand print.

"I'm sorry you feel zhat vay..." Those where the last words Ludwig said before giving you one last look as he walked away, leaving you alone in the woods as the darkness of night cloaked the forest just like fear, anger and sadness had cloaked your heart.
