Grammar Nazi "A" Logo byIt irks me when simple things like this are misused. But don't worry, I don't go THAT hardcore on someone because of it.

Eh, being concerned with grammar's fine... but when being a grammar Nazi results in plain obnoxiousness and pretentiousness, I tend to lose respect for that person. This stamp doesn't intrinsically support 'violent' correction of grammar, so I guess I can't really argue with it. If it's more towards supporting the use of correct grammar just generally online (because seriously, why do people fail to put in that tiny bit of extra effort to punctuate properly or to comprehension?) then I'd completely agree.
Having said that, I usually always correct someone when they're being ironically arrogant about something. E.g. "I won the spelling bea! I am the gratest in the world."

I don't like the word "Nazi" in this... Makes you think, that if you can't spell right, you're going to be cremated, or you're going to have the gas shower. It's not that I don't have a sense of humour, I totally agree with correct spelling and I try to write correctly in every language I speak too...
But "Nazi"?...

The terms "Grammar Nazi" and "Spelling Soviet" have been around much longer than my stamp, any complaints should be said to the original creators of said terms.
I, however, am proud to be titled as a "Grammar Nazi" and do not think the word holds the same meaning as the actions people have committed. At the end of the day, it is still just a word.

Which part of my comment offended you personally, or assumed you're the creator of "Grammar Nazi"? I didn't complain about anything! I just expressed an honest opinion about a simple word, which unfortunately is not just a word at the end of the day, but is associated with nearly 11 million dead people!
I, however, agree with correct spelling and do too believe that there's a difference between correction and criticism.

Well you did question why I used 'Nazi', at least that's what the question mark implies. I was offended at the fact your comment started with "I don't like the word "Nazi" in this..." The term I am using is "Grammar Nazi" and is quite common in cyberspace. By stating that you don't like me using the word 'Nazi' in this piece insinuates that you either want me to remove it or that you are in fact scolding me for using such a word when I have been deemed a Grammar Nazi by friends and family alike. Many of which (the friends portion) are of german decent themselves.
Though I enjoy comments, both good and bad, you didn't have to mention that you didn't like something I created.
Many things are associated with the Death of a large number of people, such as 'Ring Around the Rosie'. That doesn't make them bad. Take pit bulls for example. They are associated with gangs, dog fights, and killing, when actually if you raise them right they're just big sweet-hearts.

Well, I truly don't like the word Nazi in this and in similar uses, what's there to be offended by?... Since you're not the creator of the phrase, you don't have to be offended at all! I wonder if the creator asked himself/herself, if he/she was offending somebody with his "creation"... but that's not for you to answer, I guess. And obviously, you don't enjoy bad comments and you take everything too personal, since your stamp is perfectly made. The only thing I had something to say about, was not something you came up with.
I'm not insinuating anything! Again, I'm just expressing my opinion, which I didn't think would have had such an impact on the creator of the stamp. There are plenty of grammar-nazi-stamps and artworks on dA. I guess it was just bad luck to have chosen this to comment on...
