I finally revamped Ticket, she looks much better now in my opinon
Everyone say hello to your friendly neighborhood bum.
She's in your allyways, sleeping in your boxes. Don't worry, she loves to sleep in boxes!

Now I didn't include everything in there because I didn't want to spoil EVERYTHING, you silly geese. So what her left eye looks like, her history, her placement in the heirarchy; all those are secret for now. DON'T WORRY THOUGH, I'll probably spill the beans eventually.

Now a Question to you: I've been thinking about making a mini comic inspired by the movie "Let me In". If you don't know what that is, it's a really good movie where a little boy and a vampire become friends (and no she doesn't god damn sparkle.) Basiclly, it'd be a past story involving Ticket and a little Red Blood cell on Halloween, I have the whole story thought out in my head but I'm not sure if I should really draw it out or not. Would that be something you'd be willing to see? Mind you, there wouldn't be color since I don't have time anymore with College heading deep into midterm territory, but it wouldn't be half assed either.

Explanations:

Ok so first off, Recombination (to put it simply) is when dead bacteria are still able to pass on genetic material with other Bacteria. This can be threatening to a body, as traits can combine and create super bacteria that are tolerant to antibiotics just as some viruses can become immune to antivirals (super viruses) when you don't take ALL of the medication prescribed by your doctor.
Why is that important? Well Bacteria normally multiply by fission, where they increase exponentally. (1 becomes 2, 2 becomes 4, 4 become 8, and so on) As fun as it would be to have 50 clones of Ticket around, I figured it would be a bit of a hassle and wouldn't really explain by Chronic Lyme disease happens after the full course of Antibiotics. No one knows what causes the chronic part of Lyme Disease so I figured I'd play around with that concept.

Ticket herself can transfer from body to body through ticks, but if she left a body there would not be chronic symptoms, right?

The idea that if she's shreaded to pieces, and thus regenerates anything below her neck, the remaining parts would melt down into tiny little balls with pointy mouths that would seek out dead bacteria or attack nearby cells. On their own they're just annoying and numerous, but upon finding dead bodies they would inhabit it like a parasite and control it from the inside out. Yes, it's exactly what you're thinking, they become zombies. Neat huh?

It also gives an explanation to pus and links in with the tv series of Ozzy and Drix. Pus is a collection of dead white blood cells and bacteria. A battle ground fit for a zombie horde. Whenever the bacteria show up in the tv show they usually have the french general Malaise leading and the rest are the same generic bacteria. (Fun Fact: The bacteria that causes Lyme disease in the US is different from the strains found in Europe! Ticket could totally have some french cousins~ Ooh la la)

Chronic bodily symptoms? Sounds like zombie apocalypse to me!

The second thing I wanted to point out was the whole "Hive Mentality" thing. Regretably, I ran out of room on the image to explain it.
I've always loved alien species, especially when they had a heirarchy of Empresses, Queens, Drones, and such. The idea that Ticket is considered an "alien" comes from the TV series' first episode. Ozzy and Drix get sucked up by a mosquito and claim to have been abducted. A tick doesn't seem that far off from being another form of UFO when presented with that.
I'm not sure what would be considered the "mothership"; perhaps the tick itself? (I havn't fully thought this through.)

There is a Queen to a "hive" and there are those under her. I suppose you could consider Ticket a scout of sorts, but her true ranking is going to be a secret for now.
I would like to think the "Queen" would be the original strain that the others (Ticket included) separated from, or in some cases, are her descendants. It could be that there is a single Queen and "family" on each tick, or the Queen could be elsewhere, inside a deer or something. I don't know.
I'd imagine the other Bacterial members of these "families" would take their job a lot more seriously, be almost robotic in nature, and prefer their solitary lives in bodies. Ticket's the odd little exception, but that's why we like her.
