[Inspiration for cosplay] When I first really got into cosplay and conventions I was also getting into Digi Charat but knew at the time I didn't have the skills to make the costume. Recently I posted my challenge and StillVisions suggest Digi. Now I've been around a sewing machine long enough that I decided to give it a shot.
[Comments] Since Otakon this year could be dubbed "forgot everything" con I didn't have the original feet meant for this costume. Lucky for me once the irrational moment of OMG I NEED THIS NOW ended was amazing enough to offer the shoes for her Mokona costume. They worked a million times better than I could have dreamed in place. I also have to remake the hat cause not really happy with it and the mits since they're disgustingly dirty after the weekend.

i dont wanna write a full critique but the thing you could improve on are the black stitching on the hat you just need to set the stitch setting lower but maybe it wont work coz the hat is fleecy but it wouldn't take that long to do it by hand also the hat itself seems a bit loose D; BUT YOU DID AN A+ JOB ON THE EARS

You know, the biggest problem is I'm horrible when it comes to remembering some basic things when fabric shopping. The biggest being interfacing and stabilizer for embroidery. Even with the thread tension at 0 if I do a thicker line on fleece it still ends up all puckered. A good stabilizer would fix this but as I said I keep forgetting to pick it up when I'm out. Normally its not an issue when I'm doing solid colors but the second I need to do an outline its a big fat reminder of "YOU FORGOT AGAIN!"
The fit was also something I was really unhappy with. I was trying to do a non conventional fleece hat pattern and it just really didn't work out, since it was one of the last things to be done I ended up running out of time and had to stick with it. Same with the bells, since it was done in the summer I was somewhat scrambling for something to use and I sorta like it but at the same time they're a bit awkward and like you said don't match at all. Thank you so much for the compliment on the ears though. Those were a complete nightmare to attach. Part of the inner ear area was completely hand sewn in because it was being that difficult.
