Description
Alvin:-has lost the baseball hat (except for when he’s actually playing the sport) and has grown much more obsessed with his hair (which has gotten quite wild – to nicely suit his personality)
-has two modes: drunk and hung-over, with bouts of stability in between – basically he gets sobered up again just in time for the next party
-he and Brittany still have a very passionate love-hate relationship (with heavy emphasis on ‘passion’ now that puberty’s done it’s job), and it’s unclear even to them if they are actually together or not
-has been pursuing a solo career musically, desperately trying to get out of the ‘teeny-bopper’ type-casting, performing at local club and parties (when not attending as one of the enthusiastic patrons)
-his slacking off and lack of regard for his academics is a constant point of displeasure for Simon, and the two are constantly butting heads

The getting drunk on root-beer is one identifying sign of being a manimal. Others include: eyeshine...
Of course, I haven't done ANY real work on my characters in ~16 years. So that's why I stopped with the above comment unfinished...

Interesting outlook on Alvin and if they had ever allowed him to grow up I think this is how he would have turned out but I would have hoped with his borther's help he would have been less of a alcoholic.

No series or cartoon has been done of this trio in their late teens or 20's even.
I thought Alvin was looking back at his dissipated wasted life and wondering why he didn't straighten himself out while he had time & opportunity ...

Thank you! I wasn't sure what I was going to do to make him still look unique without his hat, and then his "Largo-esque" (of Megatokyo fame) head of hair appeared and it just fit!
