Description
Kaiser frowned as he looked at the many, many, many numbers of snacks that littered the shop shelf. How was he meant to find the one his Sirra wanted if he couldn’t even find the very snack type she wanted?“Damn vast empire and our food from multiple galaxies…” Kaiser muttered as he leaned in further and narrowed his gaze, thinking he might as well type in his snack choice into the nearby computer search, even though he never trusted those things since they never seemed to get you the right snack.
“Ugh,” He stomped over to the little whisper-thin liquid screen floating in front of the massive row of snacks, “Find me a…” he looked to the small scrap of paper that Sirra had written upon frowning to pronounce the word, “Nee… nee-vru-gklok-“
“A Nivrukloke?” Kaiser’s head spun around as he looked to the source of the voice.
Standing behind him was… well, he was quite unsure what it was. It was irken, he was mostly sure, and female, but what she was wearing was like… well, like some of the prostitutes he’d killed only two nights ago.
She was somewhat slim yet wide hipped and with obviously surgery enhanced breasts. She was wearing a very short black plastic-like skirt and a pair of vivid pink and hot pink striped leggings with red high heels. She wore a similar hot pink top which showed more of her cleavage than Kaiser wanted to see. Her face looked like it’d had a lift or two and was horribly decorated with orange lipstick, sparkly green eyeliner and pink eye shadow, which somehow matched her pink eyes. She had tired her antennae back and together and one could hear the jingling of jewelry and antennae clips.
She smiled and Kaiser felt like wincing, “They make those all the way back on Irk you know.”
“Prima, danke,” Kaiser spun around and repeated the order to the screen, which whizzed off to find it.
“Hey, you’re new here right?” Kaiser winced, he was hoping that female wouldn’t talk to him again, “I’ve heard of you, you and that other girl just moved into the old Cexcer place, right?”
“Ja.” Kaiser replied in a deadpan voice, hoping the one word answer would shut her up.
“I remember the guy who used to live there… crazy old thing,” This woman carried on with a cause wave of a hand, “He claimed that gigantic space demon-god things were trying to kill him.” Kaiser could hear her smirk even if he didn’t look at her, “I bet they didn’t tell you that when you bought the place, right?”
“Nein.” Kaiser was hoping if he replied in his natural dialect, the woman wouldn’t understand him and go away.
“Oh, you’re east central irken?!” The woman squealed, literally, like an animal, it was a horrible thing to hear, “I love your accent! Say some things for me!”
Kaiser noted that there wasn’t a ‘please’ in there, yet, because he was still waiting for this far-to-slow machine to get his Sirra’s craving, he turned around and, without showing any emotion, said, “Ich muss fragen, wer für dich einkaufen? Sie haben so schreckliche Hosen...” He paused in thought before seriously asking, “Sind Sie eine Dirne?”
She squealed again and Kaiser felt rather disgusted. She grinned at the killer and quickly announced, “My name is Veenkree, I live in the same area as you.”
Kaiser’s expression didn’t change. “Wunderbar.”
There was a pause before she asked, “And your name is?”
“Kira.” Kaiser replied, giving out his fake identity name, although he was sure she’d flee and leave him alone if he gave out his real name.
She smiled in a way that reminded Kaiser of some kind of scheming predator, “So, is that your girlfriend you were with or your wife?”
“My wife,” Kaiser replied with a rather proud and definite sounding voice.
“Ahh, so you do speak irken basic.” Veenkree quickly commented, “And here I thought I’d have to go home and download east central!” She giggled and smiled again, “Tell me, what do you do?”
Kaiser was starting to wonder why the bar was taking so long to get, was the selection really that huge? “’What do I do’?”
“Yea,” Veenkree crossed one arm across her body and used it to hold up her other arm, with her free hand resting on her cheek, “What job do you have? My husband’s a Major in the eastern Empire; he was on Meekrob and everything.”
“I work from home, I’m a military consultant.” Kaiser lied with abject ease. It was a handy job to be registered as, even if it was all fake, as it allowed him to ‘work from home’ and it was logical as he probably would be a military consultant with his lung injury.
“Ooooh,” Veenkree sounded oddly impressed, like she was putting it on, “Sounds like you have lots of time to come and visit me…”
“Where IS that snack?” Kaiser growled and turned away from her. He was holding back the urge to reach across and snap her neck, but he’d made a very strong pact with Sirra not to kill anyone on their ‘living planet’ as not to raise any suspicion.
Although right now, he was seriously considering breaking that rule, having to put up with people like Veenkree reminded him why he went so damn insane in the first place.
“Mein Frau must be getting hungry…” As if delivered by some pitying higher being, the machine suddenly whizzed right back to him and handed him…the wrong snack. It’d given him something called ‘Knevurglock’ but Kaiser didn’t care, he wanted out of this place before he exploded and killed everyone in a three mile radius.
He grabbed the snack and turned to walk away before this… person, could say any more to him. “Auf Wiedersehen.” He strode off even before Veenkree could reply, which was good because one more word from her would have caused him to flip completely.
He could tell that it was going to be very hard adjusting to people in this neighborhood. At least he and Sirra were leaving that day, so he wouldn’t have to see the face of the annoying flirtatious neighbor any time soon. And for that, he was highly thankful.
~<3~
There wasn’t much that Sirra couldn’t be happy about, even if she was cooped up in a hotel room. The room was mostly decent, and Kaiser had made sure of it, since he refused to have the female he loved and his child staying in a mediocre place. The room was small, but comfortable, and the rather nice queen sized bed was fluffy and was home to a mountain of pillows. There was a small chair that was red with gold embroidery in the corner and a desk by the dresser where the TV was held up on. The bedside table only had a Guest Services menu and a lamp.
The planet they where on was one that was just a little out of the Empire’s reach, a planet known as Orvibria, which was part of a ‘Federation of Free Planetary Trading’, which was little more than an annoying front to try and stop Imperial Irken expansion, although it worked as the Tallest clearly didn’t want to go to war with them.
Orvibira was a dusty place but nothing close to all out desert. The people who lived here were lizard-like and short, almost like irkens, but they tended also to be thin and slow and they had small eyes which seemed to spot everything around them at once. Another trait they had was that they liked to steal things from each other and jack up the prices on everything, which greatly annoyed Sirra and Kaiser in the very little sightseeing they’d done, after all, they didn’t come to this stupid planet to get ripped off.
They came here to have their child. Should Sirra have gone to any irken hospital, she surely would have been found out and not only would Kaiser and herself have been caught they would have had their child taken from them, not to mention, even if they didn’t get recognized the child would have had their PAK and details filled in, which meant Sirra and Kaiser having to be questions and then surely found out.
So they’d come to Orvibira, where Sirra could have her child and return peacefully to their own planet. They’d have to fill out all the forms and data into their child’s PAK, but that was part of the advantage as they could easily put in as much fake information as they needed so that their child could life a proper life without the crimes of its parents haunting it.
Sirra hadn’t cared with Kash, she had told the doctors she was giving him up for adoption so she didn’t have to put any info in, that’d all be done by whatever orphanage she gave him to. She’d only thought about it momentarily before forcing the child from her mind, she didn’t need to remember him anymore and she had to forget that he ever happened.
It was a very nice place to be, despite the fact that Sirra had become bored easily from lack of things to do. It wasn’t like it had been any different at home before Kaiser’s proclamation of love of great proportions. Sirra smiled thinking about it and her toes curled in happiness. She looked over to Kaiser, who was busy reading something or another, and then looked to her near 7 month pregnant stomach and again smiled.
She was mere days away from giving birth, and though she didn’t want to go through the experience again, but at least once it was over she could return back to going out for kills and resume drinking and such. Everything that Kaiser had not allowed when she was pregnant, she would be able to do again, though some nagging thought in the back of her mind told her it wouldn’t be like that.
This smeet, after all, was one that she would have to be a mother to, and she was unsure that she was even ready to be a mother. She looked over to Kaiser, now with a worried expression and observed that he was sitting in the chair reading with his galaxy pajama bottoms on. Her mind became distracted and before she could confide in him, she blurted out, “Where did you get those pajama pants?”
Kaiser blinked and looked up to her, setting down the book disk and raising a would-be eyebrow. “Where did that come from?”
Sirra recalled that after Kaiser’s chemical accident, she had wondered about it and then never gotten her answer. It was odd that she had been thinking about motherhood and began talking about pants. “I don’t even know myself.”
Kaiser chuckled and rose from the chair, moving to her side and sitting beside her. He took her hand and held it as if he couldn’t stand to be next to her and not touching her. “Well, it started when I was in conscription. I had just killed One, and it was on the one day of the moon cycle that I was actually given a break of some sort. You could hardly call it a break, though, and with the generals I was raised by, there was no day that went by without some sort of training going on.”
Kaiser was surprised at himself. He had never really spoken to Sirra about his past, and now he was babbling on about his abusive guardians and their never ending schedule of ways to make Kaiser into a fighting machine. He was opening up to her and he hadn’t even meant to.
“Anyway, the morning consisted of getting up in the early morning hours and running around the entire city 6 times within 3 hours. Lucky for me, the city, or the ghetto, was rather small, and it was a task preformed easily. BUT!” His eyes widened and he grinned a little,, “On my last lap, I came across a hobo, some sort of…I dunno, mystic hobo, that started yelling at me because by some odd chance, he had an intuitive feeling that I was indeed the killer of One.”
Sirra tried her best to keep a straight face, but she couldn’t and broke out into a grin. It wasn’t often she heard Kaiser talking about ‘mystic hobos’ with such enthusiasm. She brought a hand to her mouth to muffle her giggle so that Kaiser continued.
“And I thought, ‘I can’t have this hobo yelling at me! What if people actually think it’s ME?!’ So I ran back to the head quarters and claimed that this hobo had slandered the good names of two of the commanding officers. Well, naturally, all of them left the head quarters to go mutilate this poor hobo, and I, left alone, decided to go down to the autopsy room and see if they had any antennae intact and pure,” Kaiser chuckled slightly, “No one was down in the autopsy room, but the phone rang and it happened to be the commander from a neighboring ghetto, talking about a revolt that had gone out of control and was calling for back up.”
Kaiser was now laughing himself, recalling such an odd day, and pausing only to keep himself from laughing, “And I thought that the only way I could provide back up was if I took one of the Megadoomers, which had just been created and had barely been tested. I decided to give it a shot anyway and I took this huge robot to the neighboring ghetto as a form of back up and just started firing where I could until most of the civilians were either locked up in their homes cowering or dead.”
Sirra burst out laughing at the very mention of robots and immediately asked, “What the heck do robots have to do with those pants?!”
“Wait-wait-wait! I’m not finished!” Kaiser snickered in a giddy way and pulled Sirra closer. “When I got out of the Megadoomer and greeted this Commander, I was expecting a great big thank you for single-handedly putting down the revolt, and he just shoots this guy in the head, strips him of these pants and hands them to me saying, ‘Your help is greatly appreciated and we certainly would have died without it.’ And I! I’m just staring down at these weird pants with galaxies on them thinking, ’What the hell?! I just saved an entire military compound, and to thank me, the Commander kills one of his own and gives me his pants?’ I mean, what was he thinking?!”
Sirra giggled insanely at the weirdness of it all and muffled her laughter in Kaiser’s shoulder as she clutched at his sides. “What the hell kind of life did you HAVE before me Kaiser?!” She managed to choke out before laughing again.
Kaiser snickered and looked down at her. “It was one that was awfully weird.”
Sirra looked up at him and smiled, giggling occasionally, and slowly wrapping her arms around his neck. Her expression suddenly faded slightly and she spoke. “Kaipetshe…”
“Hum?” Kaiser replied, holding her close and loving every moment.
“Do you think I’ll be a good mother?” Sirra asked with an obvious trembling worry in her voice.
“I think you’ll make a great mother,” Kaiser replied while moving his head so he could look into her eyes, “Why would you ask such a thing?”
“Because…” Sirra made a little whimpering noise and added, “Because I’m not good at caring for people… I’ve never had to look after anyone younger than myself… I’ve got no experience or anything and I’m…” She paused, then continued in a way that she only ever would with Kaiser, “I’m scared I’ll mess it up.”
“Neither have I,” Kaiser replied with a smile, “But I’m not worried, because we’re going to do this together, so we can’t fail.”
“I hope not…” Sirra answered in little less than a whisper.
“We wont,” Kaiser grinned and he pulled Sirra fully onto his lap, hiding his slight discomfort at her heavy weight, “I’ll make sure our smeet is the most well treated, well looked after, most talented, most amazing smeet ever born!”
The pregnant girl giggled, “It’ll grow up spoiled! We can’t have a spoiled child!”
“Why not?” Kaiser grinned even more, “We should treat our child like a Tallest in waiting! We should give it a life we could have only dreamt of…” he ended with a fade to his smile.
“I only hope it doesn’t follow after its parents,” Sirra added, looking down to her huge belly and stroking it softly, “We shouldn’t have to pass on our bloody knives to our child.”
“I honestly hope not,” Kaiser replied, putting a hand over Sirra’s so that his too pressed down upon her swollen middle, “But if it does, then we should train it to be the best the universe has ever seen.”
In Kaiser’s arms, sitting on that chair with her head resting on his chest, Sirra slowly fell into a light slumber while Kaiser watched on protectively while silently wondering how his love could look so constantly beautiful even while sleeping. And within the greenish glow of the moonlight shining through the windows of their room, Kaiser too began to drift into a sleep.
It must have been about an hour later, right in the middle of the first hour of the morning, when Sirra awoke with a start. She was wet around her lap and a sudden pain shot through her from her spoonch. An all too familiar feeling came over her and she realized she was going into labour.
“KAISER!” Sirra grabbed her boyfriend and shook him once, to which he woke with such a start he almost caused his girlfriend to fall from his lap.
“Sirra? What’s,” He stopped and paused for a second, “Why are you wet?”
“I’m having the smeet!” Sirra exclaimed loudly with wide panicky eyes.
Kaiser blinked, and then suddenly he burst into action like the whole room was on fire. Sirra moved right off his lap as he jumped up from the chair, quickly grabbing the pre-prepared bags he’d packed for Sirra, which including some guns incase it all went badly, and changing out of his pajama’s in the blink of an eye.
Sirra just… stood there, letting Kaiser take control. She’d never been so nervous before, ever. When she’d had Kash, she’d looked at it like it was just some kind of chore, something she couldn’t avoid; after all, she’d had more depressive thoughts on her mind at the time. But now… now she was truly about to become a mother, she was going to have the child of someone she care so deeply… she was taking the biggest step in her life since she’d first plunged a knife into someone’s heart.
She winced a little as another, stronger pain came through her and that old, highly uncomfortable feeling of impending smeet birth came to her. She really, really hated having children.
Suddenly, she felt Kaiser’s hand close around hers and she blinked out of her spacing, looking to her beloved whose brave smile filled her with more happiness and hope than she could have ever found anywhere else. “Ready?”
“Not really…” Sirra squeaked out in a voice that would run a mile from her usual character.
“Well, the smeet is,” Kaiser held her hand tighter, “So let’s at least ask it when it comes out if it can give us some more time.”
Sirra giggled and her heart melted. She may have not felt like she was ready to be a real mother, but with Kaiser at her side, she was sure she could handle it.
~<3~
Kaiser had never been so nervous in his entire life. Perhaps that was why he had convinced himself to take a tranquilizer which was the reason he was out cold on the chair next to Sirra’s hospital bed which had been return not very long ago after her rather short labor. He had completely slept through it when he had only wanted to calm his nerves. Sirra knew he would be disappointed that he missed it all.
Sirra was wide awake and quite eager to see her child, still quite unknowing about it. All she had heard was that she had given birth to a daughter before they had taken the smeet away to get her birth data before handing over the child to it’s parents. While she waited, she indulged on Kocolaze and began to try and guess what her daughter looked like. If only Kaiser was awake…she looked over to him with a slight frown.
“I just gave birth and you’re sleeping?!” She demanded suddenly, reaching over and hitting him on the head roughly. Thankfully, she got the reaction she had been waiting for.
Kaiser cursed loudly and his hands flew to the spot on his head that had been hit, quickly sitting up. “WAS?!”
Sirra tried to glare at him, but she couldn’t contain her smile. “Don’t you want to be awake when they bring her in?”
“Her?” Kaiser questioned sleepily, standing up and stretching, not quite recalling his situation just yet. “Wait-her?” He looked to Sirra wildly.
“Yes, her.” Sirra answered. “They took her off to get weighed and install her PAK, but they said they would bring her in after it all. You got the daughter you wanted, Kaipetshe.” She grinned happily and then leaned over the hospital bed to grasp at Kaiser’s hand and pull him onto the side of the bed with her.
“I slept through the whole thing?!” Kaiser demanded, sitting on the edge of the bed and taking Sirra’s hands into his.
“You obviously took too much of that tranquilizer! You were completely out when they took me in.” Sirra said knowingly. “But don’t worry, you didn’t miss much. I just got back.”
“I did miss a lot though! I missed the birth of our daughter who we have to name.”
“We can’t name her until we see her. I haven’t even seen her! I just heard her crying and she was taken away after that…” A sudden fear hit her and her grip on Kaiser’s hands tightened. “Kai, what if something’s wrong with her…? Or they know who we are?!”
“Kätzchen, mein lieb, don’t worry yourself so much-“ Kaiser was cut off when there was a knock upon the door and it opened to reveal a native looking nurse pushing in a small bassinette. She placed it beside Sirra’s bed and picked up the small smeet who was wrapped in a pink blanket to hand her to Sirra.
“You’re lucky! The sweet thing is wide awake! I would have thought she would go right to sleep…” The nurse trailed off and handed the smeet to Sirra and bowed slightly. “If you need anything, press the call button.” And with that, she left the room.
Sirra set the smeet in front of her on the bed and Kaiser quickly looked over with an amazed smile to see his daughter. She had wide square shaped deep blue eyes and many lashes to go with them. Her antennae were oddly shaped, as Kaiser had predicted and there were two braches to be exact. The main branch was like Sirra’s current antennae, which looped twice and the smaller branch, near the two curls of the first branch looked like the soft curl Sirra’s antennae had before the mutation process.
“She looks so much like you, Kaiser…” Sirra finally spoke with an odd tone of softness to her voice. After all, she was gazing at the smeet she was now officially mother to.
Kaiser’s expression also matched his girlfriend’s as he looked to his smeet. This was his daughter, completely innocent and empty of any sort of evil. Groove had warned him that if Sirra had a girl, Kaiser would become instantly attached to his daughter. And Groove was anything but wrong.
Sirra looked to Kaiser and smiled. “Kaipetshe…” She clung to his arm and he looked at her and moved closer to her, while still keeping an amazed grin at his daughter. “You should name her.”
“Vici.” Kaiser said without hesitation. “We’ll name her Vici. I’ve always liked that name…” He extended a hand to be beside Vici, who instantly grabbed his finger.
“Oh, so you don’t like my name?” Sirra said coyly, giggling and following Kaiser’s suit so that Vici was hanging on to her mother and father’s fingers. She looked up at both parents with her huge blue eyes and made some small, smeety-ish gurgling sounds.
“I love your name but we aren’t naming her after you, have you any idea how much publicity she’d get? And not the good kind.” Kaiser said in response with a chuckled and kissed Sirra’s cheek lovingly. “Danke schön, mein horigkeit kätzchen. Ich liebe dich.”
“I love you too, Kaipetshe.” She returned his kiss, but caught his lips instead of his cheek, which was all the better in her opinion. She then looked back to Vici and smiled.
Vici blinked in an adorably cute way, then let out a little tiny squeaky yawn and her big eyes drooped.
“She’s so…” Sirra was lost for words, “Wonderful”
“She’s ours.” Kaiser replied as the little tiny smeet slowly fell asleep in the comfort of those whom she instinctively knew as her parents. Unaware of their terrible demonic nature or that their insanity was within her blood. To the universe, for that moment, they seemed together like any other loving, caring family and to the universe, that’s all they wished for.

Nyaaaaaaaaaawww ^w^ Such a sweet ending with the birth of the ickle smeet, I can't wait to see how she turns out, whether she lies a "normal" live... or turns into a serial killer that makes the Royal Five + Hanger On looks like a collective punch of declawed pussy cats.
I've gotta say though, that little anecdote Kaiser told Sirra about the galaxy pants had me laughing my ass into a parallel universe
