Description
Transblack FINAL version is outi call this version 1
cuz u thinking of doing more stuff on it
and maybe change som mayor stuff
il see what it turns out
i know there maybe will be som minor stuff i could work on
but hey.. im just a living person
it would take ages to work on it all
and thats why i call this V.1
as u can see in the preview i included som stuff
i didnt include the OD skin cuz, everyone doesnt use that
so u can find it in my gallery
i wanna thank
for helping me out with some resource searching
and giving some advice
and i wanna thank all guys out there who have given me credits making me wanna work harder on this
i rly hope u enjoy this for now
installation
use vistaglazz (google) then patch ur windows file so u can use an visualstyle
put the folder in normal or autohide
in the windows>resources>themes folder
then go in personalize>window color and apparence then open classic appearance properties to change it
the browseui.dll i recommend to use either total commandor or restorator to change it, its located in windows>system32 folder, in restorator just run it as administrator open the browseui.dll from my theme, and replace it (make a backup of the old one, i think restorator do that for u)
and it should work after u restart explorer
im sry for my bad english!

I downloaded your file, and moved the theme to the windows/resources/themes folder. I double clicked on the .msstyle, and the vista thing opened and I applied the theme. It works fine so far. The guy also suggests to apply his modded version of browseui.dll
I went to my system32 folder, gave my self full permissions on the file, then renamed it to browseui.old. I dragged in his modded version and restarted explorer.exe. When I did I got an error saying it couldn't find browserui.dll and it couldn't start. i went into cmd and reinstated the original broswerui.dll, and restarted explorer.exe and I still get the same error. I had to boot to my vista cd and do a system restore to fix it.
Is there a special way to apply the custome browseui.dll file?

Hi
I've been a silent follower (sorry for being so unsensitive ) for as long as I downloaded this theme. I actually like all your themes since, but none of them compares to the flexibility or clearness of concept of this one, so I never changed.
the only catch is maybe the start menu size, even with very few items its always as big as a truck.
maybe some day you, good samaritan you, will make this theme for vista basic, for RAM usage reasons (with AutoCad large drawings or vRay I sometimes turn aero off).. maybe you wont.. its still the best theme on the internet and believe me, I searched the whole solar system.
congratulations, excellent design

its ok im glad u like my stuff
the start menu is actually allways big in vista.. one big thing i hate most of it is that it doesnt incrase when u remove stuff from it :/
hmm well i dont think il make a basic version of this one.. i never use basic myself and almost never make basic versions of my themes.
since u can use the aero version and remove most of the visual stuff anyway that takes up ram and such.
and again, thx!

I usually don't stick with visual styles for long, because I have always found something I don't like about them.
I have a feeling this will be my standard visual style for the rest of time I own Vista.
I love it, nice work!

Is there any way to get this working in 64-bit Vista using SP1? I like this one much better than Transblack 2, it's so much cleaner.

nice to see you're still responding to comments here.
so far i really like your theme .. it's small, dark and looks great. but there are some minor flaws:
[link]
^ i made a small image to show you what i mean.
the last thing is that there is no indication for what is the current window which sometimes makes it difficult to hide windows by clicking on them in the taskbar as you don't know which one to hide
fixing these 3 little things would improve usability so much i think
but still: great job!

the text color i actually don't know how to change.
and the buttons is meant to be like that,
it wouldn't be the same if i change it.
and perhaps about the taskbar ur right.
but since this is like one of my first visualstyles i rly dont feel like improve it that much actully
since i think ive made more even better once.
