I've been trying to think of a new style to try out and this came to mind, so I decided to give it a shot. The quality is still in the larva stage, but the concept might be promising. What do you guys think of it? Any suggestions?

If I do more drawings in this style I'll be able to get the shading much better in the initial pencil sketch since I won't have to worry about getting the illusion of hue difference. I imagine that will help out a lot, since the main problem I had with this was getting the shading more pronounced.

I quite like the painted-look of the background even thought it wasn't planned.
