Betelgeuse wasn't sure if what he was doing was right... Nor if what he was doing entirely matched how he was feeling... But he still did it anyway. His PAK-legs edged him upward as he gently placed a hand on his Tallest's neck and kissed her, fully on the mouth.And for a few blessed seconds, she didn't pull away.
But then, she softly took his elbow and pushed him away. Betelgeuse felt wounded. Until he saw the look on her face and he realised that she wasn't angry. She simply looked confused. And completely, utterly crushed.
...
Make of it what you will. If someone gets whats happening (other than the BLATANTLY OBVIOUS), then they get a cookie.
