I feel like I've been getting more fanart than I deserve lately. Infact, just the other day I logged in from my boyfriend's computer and found a comment left by some person. This person happens to be a person who has watched me pretty much since I started this account. Actually, I believe she was the first. Anyway, I read this comment, and followed a link on it. It came up with a beautiful piece of fanart. Fanart of Saik. Well, that was about the time I started crying like the pathetic sap I happen to be.Hey, ~enigmatia . I just to thank you for all the support you've given me since I can to this fandom. You've been kind, you've been supportive, you've written the longest comments that I've ever recieved and I truely love your art. I just want you to know I think you're a damn awesome person to know, and to show you my appreciation. It's kinda hard to connect with a person over the internet, but I feel a kind of kinship with you, something that developed over only a few months. And if you can learn to ignore my pathetic sappyness and withstand my constant cries of "OMGDOPPELGANGER!!!1!" I hope to continue to revel in this fandom alongside you.
I'm sure the most of you already know just how friendly this girl is, and how talented she is in regards to her art. Just keep truckin', ~enigmatia
To the rest of you, you don't know how grateful I am to all those who have done art for me, favourited my art, watched me, or just dropped by and left a comment. This level of support is not something I'm generally used to, but I can't honestly say I dislike it ;D I hope in my artistic endeavors I can remain worthy of your gaze.

I must say, without lines the shading looks even more gorgeous. The picture has a very nice feel to it. You did an amazing job on all the details without lines.
The pose is pretty awesome, as are the whispy bird shaped smoke figures coming from the hat. It's a very cool effect and a nice touch how you have them curling over head like an arch.

This is such a fricken.. fucking awesome surprise, auughhh, you know you need to, right?! Let me say some things first.
Arghhh.. your sweetness of your Artist Comment is getting me all wordless, I seriously can't take such niceness. If I was a notch more dramatic I'd be sprawled on the floor wondering how the heck I became so deserving of having that said to me. But my face is just burning for the moment, it's ok ahaha XD
Man today I feel I wish I was just a nobody so I wouldn't get such wonderful surprises such as this. You know that fanart means you don't have to draw anything back, right? XD This wasn't an art trade, that was a gift of my appreciation, girl I am trying more the more every day to pick up as much as I can to excel the way you do. I mean, I feeling so much more confident with what I draw (not completely, but it's not a thing you can get in an instant). Oh yes. And Saik's a fricken' kickass character. Dur, already know that.
You came into the fandom a confident artist of IZ, and captured me STRAIGHT away with your art, I look back at myself, and I don't think I've ever clicked to someone's art so quickly.
As for the doppleganger thing, I'm sure if being as crazy as I am, and thinks too much about things like this, then add it to the list XD

I held it off too long, I have to comment on the art itself.
This representation of him, GAH! I've been sketching several sketches of him last week, trying to get my anthro-Irken representation of him. I have to say, I have a constant thing for making someone look too feminine or too cute. But gosh, must you ALWAYS hit the spot?
It's terribly edgy, no outline, just shapes to depict light and shadow. He's not a obvious guy, he's not even minded, he isn't soft or natural, he's triple edged, yet simple. He's got the expressionate "Hah, yeah" but he's got the simple look on him with the design of the traditional magician's outfit.
Then you added the smoke and birds.. now WHAT'S more suitable for a creepy guy like this? XD Honestly, if he were standing in front of me right now, and the smoke did this, creepy is quite the word.. it suits. And the gesture of his hand, it's just like if he was directing the bird.. a weaker guy like him, anything to trick the view that he has power, is just the thing to put him into an equilibrium of strengths and weaknesses. That's what he's about, I feel. Maybe more to it, but this has what came across my mind seeing this.
Augh, I feel so heart-warmed one of my most favourite artists is giving me something so thoughtful! Aaannd I'm sorry, I have far too much to say. I think I'd be yapping away, if I had this said verbally, you'd have to shut me up sooner or later XD
But damn.. whaaat did I put myself into.

Hahaha. Trust me, this is really not payback. It's something I really felt like doing, because frankly I think you're an awesome person, and your art inspires me every inch as much as I hope mine inspires you. But, I do admit I wanted to surprise you with it XD
Truthfully I just keep going back to that piece of art, and last night, well, I couldn't hold myself back anymore. Sometimes Zi just get posessed and start things, and sometimes I stay posessed and finish them. This was one of those instances, and I will never have any regrets about it. This kind of passion for a piece is something I must act upon, and I relished every last second of detail. So, it's not an art trade, it's not a return art, it's something I did because I felt some kind of inexplicable artistic need to do this for you, okay?
In returning to Doppelgangers, trust me, you have not seen me on an "eccentric-enthusiastic" day XD I'll be sure to add those to the list too, actually.
Here I shall say that's not really what it was, if you can understand that C:
DX Damn, I kinda don't like doing that to people D: I simply viewed him as more of an impish character, so pointed chin, but cocky smile. But I guess the best way to describe how I saw him was this picture, really. And I've been drawing anthro characters for a long time, so I kinda have some practice
yep. Lineless style is really new to me, but I was thinking this was working, so I kept going with it. He seems like a showman, but one that would get down to the purest form of magic, that being keeping people entertained, the attainment of which would in return make him feel good.
XD Well, haha, I can always see a magician working with light, so I threw a new twist on the old "make billions of doves fly out of this hat" trick. I did want the feel of him perhaps being like "Now see here ladies and gents, watch and be amazed", a real showman, a real ringmaster, definitely showing that he is the only one pulling the strings.

Heh, thanks. Personally, I just colour all sorts of different ways because I'm not sure which I liek best, but softshading is definitely more time consuming than straight cell. Of course, the style I used here takes longer than both XD
