Description
Just playing around and ended up sketching this... Which turned into this. The Alt-Eal
The Alt-Eal are a mysterious race, hidden by hooded lies and shrouded veils. Very few Alt-Eal are noticeable outside their home planet, and indeed, very few on their planet, their race being one that reproduces little, and infrequently. There are less than 10,000 Alt-Eal currently alive due to their unusual customs.
The Alt-Eal themselves take on a dark viseage. Taller than many species, mostly due to their barely seen triple joined legs, with shorter, willowy arms and three long fingers (Plus opposable thumb) on each hand. Their hair is long, normally black, and they show no outward indication of gender. Two vestigial wings connect to the back just below the shoulder blades, and open in reverse, meaning that they are indeed, unintended for flight. The face is perhaps one of the most interesting, having a humanlike mouth filled with small, saw-like teeth, and two eyes stacked atop each other in the centre of the forehead. Two dark holes, often mistaken for eyes, are the Alt-Eal’s notril cavities, confusing in appearance as they take the same placing as eyes on a human face, and flare when the Alt-Eal shows anger. Two ears, apparently hard and circular with no form of opening are located on either side of the head. The most notable formation, however, is a third eye, located in the centre of the back, the reasoning for the wings unnatural inward fold, as it is of most important significance to the Alt-Eal.
The customs of the Alt-Eal are strange, and because they are so scattered it is difficult to gather information on their culture. It is known that many of them worship an “All seeing” god, which takes the form of an intimidating creature with many piercing eyes. Most tend not to be warriors, though the few that are are proficient and skilled at combat. The life-span of Alt-Eal is unknown, though it is rumored that they could live hundreds of years.
One important custom is to be remembered at all cost, however. The eye located in the centre of the back is considered sacred, and is kept covered most of the time. The reasoning for this is that the Alt-Eal considers their lover the only being trustworthy enough to see the eye, and indeed, should be the first person to be seen with said eye. Often if the “Sacred Eye” is opened but does not view the true lover, then the Alt-Eal will not take another partner, hence why their race is so rare. Once opened, this eye will never shut again. The Sacred eye is also the most obvious way of telling gender- Females will often have a green or yellow iris, Males a blue or purple one. The actual eyeball is almost black.
Alt-Eal will often be born with the gift of ESP, but few can utilize this state fully.
In clothing, the Alt-Eal will normally wear a long flowing robe of some sorts, combined with various eye insignia and badges. The robe obscures the legs and feet, and often leads to a ghostly appearance when they move. Rarely will they wear jewelry other than eye insignia, however, their armour is often intricately adorned.
This particular Alt-Eal is named Fallowyn (Female btw) and I shall sketch more and put up information on her at a later date. Possibly change her desing somewhat too, seeing as this was me just making stuff up.

Has to be one of the best made up alien species I've ever seen.
Much different from what I believe is the norm, at least as far as those in the IZ fandom that have made their own species, myself included (a few in fact... )
Yours is just so much better than all of mine though.. XDD
Wonderful work.

That is a very interesting species. I love the amount of detail you put into their culture. Her design is original, and the way the green and yellow of the robe stand out but don't overpower the more subtle colours in an awkward way is impressive. I'm looking forward to seeing more of these!
