Description
She found spiteful comfort in the way he blustered when she stepped out of line.Uncluttered Version of the word bubble.
Another tumblr answer ; this one, unfortunately, didn't work out of context! So I made a design decision and drew the query.
Best question? Best question.

Poor Darkleer, is it too much to keep his love life a secret?
Love this, love everything about it.

Finally read Man of Steel, Woman of Kleenex. It's humorously ...dark (right word?) and gruesome and macabre and -possessing a womb of my own- I was laughing and cringing my way through it.
Oh noooooooo for UST of ancestral proportions. :< Their relationship is one of the weirdest I've ever considered (parent-child? rescuer-indebted? starcrossed Romeo-Juliet?) and gosh all we've ever gotten from Hussie is a few lines in an old diary. You're brilliant at spinning out characters from near-nothing (and I stand by the things I said before! )

That's pretty much my exact reaction to that essay, too. Cringing and laughter. My ovaries do not think it's very funny, but what do they know.
I feel a little bad for spinning characters from nothing! Kind of like I am setting up a whole bunch of people for disappointment. I just... couldn't resist the challenge, I suppose. There was something inherently wonderful about a story about a sweaty racist's romantic martyrdom.
And one of my other commenters described the relationship as a "mutual non-sexual romantic relationship with elements of cradle-snatching and stockholm syndrome." And I can't help but agree with it, because that's pretty close.
