Kanaya is actually remarkably violent? I mean, she cold clocked Vriska. She sawed Eridan in half. And before any of that, she cut off Tavros' legs. No one asked her to do so, and it didn't seem like there was very much forethought in doing so, either. They thought to replace his legs with robotics only after she'd cut them off; it wasn't a planned decision. She did it on her own! It was an impromptu amputation. An impromptutation, if you will.
I'm not saying she is susceptible to anger issues like Equius, or genocidal escapades like Eridan, but she is very, very vindictive, and she definitely has a mean streak that doesn't come out very often.
Rose might be into that, idk. They kind of bring out the worst in each other anyway. 8)
