As many of you know, a tremendous tsunami struck 9 countries on Dec. 26th, including India and Sri Lanka. Caused by a 9.0 earthquake deep beneath the Indian Ocean, this tidal wave left countless families homeless and took many lives. I had the idea of organising a fundraising night consisting of a cultural show from which all the proceedings would go to a charity to help out. This was the logo i came up with for the night and any feedback would be appreciated. For all of those who are in Melbourne, Australia i urge you all to come along and the details for the night will be be further posted in a journal. Thanks heaps.The logo basically is of the elephant god Ganesha, and sahayta is hindi for "helping those in need".

What a fabulous idea! I do like the logo you have come up with. I am actually from Melbourne but staying in Singapore at the moment and will be back in Melbourne in March this year! I am right in the thick of all the tsunami news on tv here pretty much 24/7, it is so hard to comprehend. I have met and spoken with people who may have lost loved ones and have seen the rate at which people are responding to the disaster.
I will keep posted to your journal and pass any plans over to people back home in Melbourne!
