Description Gift art for of her Exile from KotOR II and Atton Rand.

*Shaendry1 's description was: "her eye color is light-ish gray and she wears a black, sleeveless, turtleneck and Moss green cargo pants." The hair was truly awesome to draw! I changed up the outfit a little bit to a turtlenecky robe thing with cargo pants underneath. She is a Jedi, after all. Robes are obligatory!

WIP sketch here . I've also heard it said a lot that Atton is hard to draw and now I really must agree. His hair quite defies human understanding! #%*#!*#$@#!!! I changed up his final lineart quite a bit from the sketch. Consequently, this was only finished after countless godawful hours struggling with the computer. I went for a marker-like coloring effect just for kicks. I like the way things blended. Hit download for giagantor image view and judge for yourself.

Oh, and background is actually a Nar Shaddaa concept art piece by Sean Cooke. I only wish I could draw buildings half as well.

Well, I hope you like, dear!

I have no problem with it. But I would ask that you check with too because it's her character.

ooooh it totally looks like you used marker, wow! not even "marker-like" but actually like marker! is there a trick, or was it just careful color selection?

it looks really cool, btw... Luby's spot-on: 'engaging' is a great word to describe it, and I think that texture adds a lot!

Haha. I was actually inspired (read: jealous) of all of luby's awesome copic marker colorings. But I'm way too cheap to buy my own, so I just used a dry media brush in Photoshop with a 30% opacity. I guess it worked well!

that sounds like an awesome solution! I'm kind of a combination of cheap + lazy so yeah, I just sit back and jealously stare at her marker colorings. xD

I never thought of trying to replicate it digitally, though! I have this project for work that I think this tactic would work really well on (at least in my head it does/if I can pull it off ), so thank you so much for sharing it!!

I think it's pretty awesome that we can mimic so many traditional media digitally/without the mess (someday I will figure out how to use Corel Painter I swear), even if I kinda feel like I'm cheating. xD

Tell me how the project goes!

And it's not cheating... it's economical

haha! I just feel like it's cheating because it's so much easier for me. Just like working straight from a reference is! xD It's why I'm having so much fun with these Gary pics... it's like candy... with no nutritional value... but OHSODELICIOUS. I feel guilty. x3

and I should probably work on that project this weekend instead of more Gary awwwww T____T

Hrm. Maybe you need to watch them again... how did you like Romeo is Bleeding, by the way? I think it's one of the best film noir flicks around. I really love its slightly surreal flavor.

Well aside from the fact I'm so underexposed to actual film film noir that I kept getting flashes of Max Payne... I swear, I've pretty much just seen it spoofed, but I do really like the style of it.

Hmm, okay... I know it's the first movie I've seen with him where he's literally in every scene and yet I still feel the need to squeal "MOAR". I guess I just liked it that much. Although specifically I would have liked more development/exposure to his relationships, especially with his wife and his cop buddies, just to add a little more gravity to the ending. I mean, I could understand it--it was still believable-- but I didn't quite feel it, you know? Maybe that's just the distance from having it narrated (which I realize is the film noir style, but still... I think I just had "show, don't tell" hammered into me too much from my English teachers to fully appreciate it. xD).

But yeah. I will definitely watch it again! For sure at least when I get a chance to work more on my drawing of Jack; I'll have it playing in the background. x3

I've think you've done a fantastic job here, IR. The poses are engaging, the line work is strong and I think you've drawn Atton superbly; he actually looks like the in-game version! My favourite element of the whole piece though is the marker-like colouring; I think it's wonderful! The texture it gives takes the whole thing to another level in my opinion.

Atton looks fine to to me , I thought you did him quiet well

Everything is quiet perfect, I even like the marker coloring effect you did XD Thank you once more for taking some time out if your day to do this

I was reading through my favorite Let's Play of KotOR II today; this was nice to see. It's a shame Team Gizka finally gave up the ghost.

I think it's the real deal from what I've heard on the grapevine. Only one way to find out for sure, though, and I don't have the game on my computer!

I can't remembered where I see this, but another team pick what Team Gizka left and completed the project. The mode is now avaliable.
