And if i'm not mistaken (slap me if I am) that is the leather armour from Fallout Tactics.

I've got to say that while Fallout 3 had many improvements on the old games (mainly in the more fluid gameplay department) it had so many flaws that could of mad it great, and ended up making it a pure festival for quotes like "I wish they just put this tiny change in here" or "It should have been like this instead". I've said this a million times to other people but I think what made the old Fallout games was the "colour". By that I mean when you ggo into a town or cave or any other map, it felt almost unique every time, there was some bright oranges thrown into the vast greay that the wasteland is which both brightened it up, but just gave a bit of variety, I felt Fallout 3 lacked that single quality immensely.

I hear ya, Fallout isometric has always been much more fun than its newest iteration. I wouldn't say FO3 was bad, its every bit as good as it can get...

What I'm meaning to say is that..with a company like Bethesda behind it..there is just no way they're ever gonna do an isometric game not when they're gonna market it on the consoles. Its a tit-fot-tat thingy i'd say, great sales today means less oldschool and more explosions and ragdolls.

Btw I do play FO3 and that armor is actually a mish mash of ideas. Kinda like my own version of a close-up of a real BOS initiate compared to what you see top-down in the game.... but leather armor is close enough I guess haha

Oh, technically she exists in the game because...I made her , Haha, She's a custom player character in Fallout Tactics.

Btw, this art was waaaaay before any concept art for Fallout 3 came out. I did this as a tribute to the great franchise and I based my drawing from earlier games like Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics.

Nope that symbol is the symbol of the Brotherhood of Steel, I found it in an old screenshot of Fallout Tactics and decided to warp it in the picture .

But now that you've mentioned it, it does look like the symbol of the Jedi Order for the new SW MMO..^_^.

Do take note guys, this sketch was produced like MONTHS before F3 even make it to stores. The guns, armor and inventory is all made up by me, cuz I haven't have a clue what's gonna be in the game at the time.

Haha the first thing that came to mind was Star Wars. xD Uncanny! I have to say I think I prefer your version to the game. The game has a completely different feel from your version.

It is a great piece of art. Lineart is such a pain. Pen tool and I never see eye to eye.

Haha, thank you, actually pen tool is easy, I'd actually like to learn to use my tablet instead to produce the pen tool effect.

Really? Pen tool for some reason always frustrated me. >< A lot. Then again I've been doing more traditional art than digital, and the stuff I have been working on..I just don't have the time or resources to put online. DX

Oooh I'd love to get some tips for lineart and whatnots. Also your other Fallout piece is turning out fantastic. I'm kind of on a Fallout spree since I'm working through Fallout 3 finally. Mmmm post apocalyptic awesomeness.

Anyway, yep the new FO piece is coming along nicely, I love to take my time through my artwork, that way its not a rushed piece of work. I'd admit I don't have time myself for my hobbies :S But since I graduated, I've been devoting abit of my spare time for some of the finer things in life

Btw, I haven't the time to finish FO3 myself, believe it or not I'm still exploring the area around Megaton! for 2 weeks now lol!.

Anyway, I just started digital painting, finally found some spare time to test out my new tablet, there is a sample of what i can do currently; one scrap piece i did in well...my scraps gallery..

I hope to start colouring on this piece soon...

imo, i'd love to do this in full colour using traditional methods but i don't have a large enough printer or scanner to do just that :S

Well it looks like you have knack for this... maybe a little more then just a side hobby. I say keep it up!

I'm not into traditional methods for coloring... but I'd maybe suggest getting a digitial camera and taking a well lighted picture if scanning isn't an option... but then yeah... you'd have to go to kinkos or something in the first place to print it off so.... that would be kind of a hassle
