Introducing a genius mind from an age of gold! Steampunk engineer Earth Briggman joins Distortion!

Location: Castelia City, Unova
Personality: Shy and reserved. He can be very attentive, but he's not too sure how he must interact with other people... He'd rather work with machines.
Brief History: Brigg, as he likes to be affectionally called, comes from a family of botanists from the White Forest. However, even at the age of eight Brigg admired every trinket and tool his parents brought home from their various trips throughout Unova, and he took it as a hobby to dismantle and reconstruct the machines. When his parents first found out, they were angry. But that quickly turned to shock when they discovered Earth was able not only to succesfully put together the machinery, but even add his own improvements. Recognizing his love and talent immediately, Earth's parents arranged for Brigg to have the chance to study in Castelia City. He sky-rocketed through the academies as a child prodigy.
The arrival of Earth to Castelia City meant a huge improvement in the fields of mechanics and transportation, particularly with the creation of the multidirectional and multifunctional speed-train, the Aurum Astoria. Brigg was widely recognized as a master inventor, the Astoria's sole conductor and an endearingly shy gentleman. That is... until he was sucked out of his timeline. As he stood in his workshop, a tremor shook the ground, and Brigg felt himself falling, falling... and catapulting outside of a cave in Sinnoh, with nothing more than his toolbox, among the strangest of crowds.
Brigg has promised to himself that he'll find a way to return to Castelia, his beloved engine and his parents. However, helping people is an inventor's drive, and Brigg is pretty sure there's quite a number of people here who could use a little help.

Brigg's pokemon:
Lavalar, the Numel
Ability: Oblivious
Moveset:
    -Flamethrower
    -Curse
    -Earthquake
    -Double Edge
Lavalar is Brigg's most recent pokemon. Out of the whole team, he's the least interested in electronics or mechanics, but nontheless, he helps Brigg when he requires solding. Lavalar's frustration is vastly due to Brigg's peaceful demeanor. Lavalar would prefer his trainer acted like, well, an actual trainer, and take him to battles to become a huge, powerful Camerupt.
Diodine, the Magnezone
Ability: Magnet Pull
Moveset:
    -Flash Cannon
    -Magnet Rise
    -Thunder
    -Tri Attack
Brigg's first pokemon. Although her species is suposed to lack gender, Diodine identifies herself as female. She was found by Brigg in the White Forest, and their first encounter ended up in blasted, discharged Brigg, after he tried to dismantle her! After realizing his mistake, a tear-faced Brigg apologized. Diodine noted the kid simply didn't know better, and a friendship was struck. Diodine lacks a pokeball, as she's always following Brigg around, and she's come to know almost as much about machinery function as Brigg himself.

Mechanor, the Klang
Ability: Clear Body
Moveset:
    -Shift Gear
    -Gear Grind
    -Wild Charge
    -Sandstorm
Mechanor lacks gender, lacks a face and most importantly lacks any interest in human activity of any kind. It's not that Mechanor has disdain for people, there's just nothing that comes to attention about them. Mechanor gladly helps Brigg with engineering works and the like, but coming out of the workshop is a pain. Of course, now that there's no workshop to return to, Mechanor will have to cope with socialization.
