Description
How to Properly Take The PhotoSo what we know by seeing this is that in order to get the contrast, and colors that we want out of the sky we need to shoot with a higher F-Stop, giving us a little more depth, we need to up the ISO maybe to 400 to keep the clouds from washing out and to lower the blue tones in the sky, and a little higher shutter speed does not hurt.
So when reshooting this exact shot, I used the following settings.
• F-Stop F/13
• ISO 400
• Shutter Speed 1/640
And this time I shot in full manual mode, the flash did not fire, and I used a centerpoint metering, just because I find it easier to meter just the subject and let the rest fall into place. Understanding what each one of these settings does is crucial to shooting a proper photo, Hopefully in this tutorial enough was changed so that you can see what each of them does, if you have any questions regarding any of this at all please feel free to contact one of us in the club we would be happy to walk you through it a little more.

Its pretty obvious that photoshop has been used in this picture. C'mon man, get real, its impossible to take a picture like this in these conditions. It's just impossible to see the grass under the truck so clearly with such a bright sky. And dont get me started with the clouds contrast and the forest at the background. Just take a look at the cloud above the truck, right in the middle.......U just cant get that dark blue outline with a single shot. Im sorry but no!

Then you are not shooting correctly. This is one photo, un-edited. I do not know why you think that this cannot be done, really its called photography, we are trying to teach that here.

I would also take note that the grass under the truck and the trees in the other 2 shots are very similar just do not pop as they would if properly exposed and focused as this shot is compared to the other 2, please do not make accusations if you do not understand the simple process used to take the photograph, this tutorial is here to help people who would like to better themselves, it is not here for me to show off my photography skills because if it was I would not have chosen such a boring subject, but I assure you this shot is one frame, unedited sides its size. if you haven nothing productive to add please refrain from making comments on this clubs page.

I have a question I have a digital camara, How do I know if my camara has these settings I can change? And is there a place where you explain what they all are/mean exactly? Like how do you know which to do and in which direction?
sorry if you have this explained elsewhere haha, great tutorial though

What about HDR? are you saying that this was shot in HDR? It was shot with no post processing.
