Description
The only hint offered to help create a visual for the creatures in From Beyond is that most of them are βinky, jellyfish monstrosities-β so I wanted all my creatures to vaguely fit that description. The story's narrator is unnamed but I loosely based him on Clark Ashton Smith, one of Lovecraft's associates.Related content

The Beings from Beyond remind me of some of the Monsters from Super Paper Mario

Sweet... That creature took the longest to draw. I'm glad you dig!

Some people are critical of Lovecraft's writing because he sometimes avoids describing his creatures in detail, but I think that deliberate omission of exact details gives the reader a great deal of liberty in imagining them. What I'm really trying to say (in as convoluted a way as possible lol) is that I quite enjoy your interpretation of the minimally described creatures from From Beyond.

Thank you! I also enjoy the freedom of imagination afforded by a minimal description. As a reader it gets me more involved in a story, as an illustrator I it's nice to have creative flexibility!
