I made this photo with a Nexus 5... Dunno, I guess, it has different lenses. But if it helps... The sun was shining in my eye at the moment, so I guess, it was enough light for the camera to produce enough sharp close up image... Plus, this is a crop of a larger photo.

OK some, flecks. & a little color shift 'round the pupil. but definitely blue.

Yep, blue! & you wear contacts, but not tinted;hence, blue.
Silliness aside: *Serious* pretty & I would have hurt myself taking that shot.

Oh no, I have a perfect sight. And I don't have/need contacts. It's a dark 'ring' makes you think of contacts, right? No, this is just a cornea making tricks with a light. I guess, it's because a half of the eye in a shadow. And the light hit with an angle.
But yes, they are clear blue under the sun and grey with an artificial light.
It's an unexpected photo... Recently, I came earlier in my bathroom and it was so sunny and... wow. Spotted how insanely blue those eyes were. I've actually never seen my own eyes close when light hits them XD Just never happened. So, initially it was just for myself, but then... it does look interesting and fits DA id in some way... So, here we are.
