My entry for Sarn-Elyren 's cover contest.
Edit: Well, it didn't win. But it was fun and I'll keep this around as fan art .

I started on this one almost as soon as the contest was announced. xD
Mostly since I have a couple of deadlines with my studies at the end of the month, so I decided to do this while I had the time to come up with something well thought out.

This cover did not end up as I had originally planned, but I noticed after a while that my first plan didn't work as good as I thought it would. xD
While this one don't look as original as my first idea, I actually like this one better.

The major things I wanted to avoid was landscapes with floating ghost heads in the sky and not using more characters than necessary.
While this one do include floating heads, they are at least not placed in the sky of a landscape xP. The shape around the cubs is also inspired from TLK sun logo xD.

I know Faraja and Rahisi are not the main characters. But to me, the mystery surrounding the sisters are what provides a darker aspect of the story, while the friendship between Hodari, Kaluwa and the twins shows a happier side. Which I try to illustrate here by having brighter colors surrounding the friends while Faraja and Rahisi are kept in darkness.
