I was too tired to work on anything important tonight so I decided to finish another tutorial I had started.

I'm far from an expert when it comes to backgrounds. But if it's one thing about them I think I can make decent enough, it's stones and cliffs.

Unlike my other two tutorials, this one is a little trickier and may require some practice.
I'm not sure how much sense this makes to others. I have made rocks this way for a long time and it comes very natural for me to make them like this.

But I hope it will at least give you some inspiration or tips on how to improve your own stones.
I use this method even for ground, stone walls, tree trunks e.g.
