Description
Pencil drawing, with colour done in photoshop. Size is something like 20x10 inches. I am only guessing though.Originaly a drawing for a friend, meant as a tattoo, or a concept for one anyways. With an art show coming up at my highschool I thought I would colour it. I got lazy with the tail and didn't put near enough detail into it like I should have. Ah well, I am extemely happy with it anyways.

Um...WOW. The amount of detail you've put into this (the folds in the wings, the scales on the arms) is simply amazing. The colouring is also wonderfully done.

The thing I can't get past with this piece is that it seems totally impossible, anatomically. The tail looks as if it takes up something like 65% of the dragon's body mass, spread out so far that I can't see this thing being able to walk or otherwise move without having a problem maneuvering it's tail around. Getting all the blood down to the tail would be a problem in itself. Moreover, putting the wings on the forearms would have to have that dragon pumping awfully hard to keep all that weight up.
Whatever, fuck it, it's magic.
Your design and technical skill are impeccable. Beautiful.

Holy . . . . if I wasn't such a wussy, I'd try and get something like that as a tat . . . . wao. That's pretty damn cool. I love his super long, nifty tail. I always pictured dragons having longer tails, but all my friends say they look awkward when I draw them . . . oh well
