The Nuzlocke Comic Discord I'm on had a challenge to draw different variations of some randomly generated Pokemon. Shuckle was one of them so I chose him, cause Gordie has one and I gotta rep my boy haha

So I approached it by looking at the Bulbapedia article on Shuckle and reading all its dex entries. I also looked at what animals it was based on. The pokeathlon stats were surprising cause for some reason it has a 2/2 in Jump. So I decided to draw a breed of Shuckle that was created just for that purpose.

I'll move this to scraps later, but I'm pretty pleased with how they all came out~

If you can't read my writing, here's what it says:

Wine Type-

Bred to have only 6 holes. 5 for limbs and 1 to pour out berry juice.

The 2 missing holes have a barnacle-like appearance. Other barnacle growths are also common on its shell.

Stamina Type-

Very sturdy and craggy shell. Bred for endurance.

This type produces bitter berry juice, despite having an extra shell-hole.

Pokeathlon Type-

All holes that aren't for limbs are very small.

Shell is flat and smooth. Limbs are long and skinny.

Tucks in all limbs except arms and launches into the air frisbee-style

Fancy Type-

Bred as a pet. Limbs are very short. Gets around by rolling.

Only legs are short. Neck is normal length.

Shells of this type are very spotty.
