There is something intrinsically beautiful, atmospheric, alluring and intriguing about a world underwater. This year was arguably the most beautiful purely aesthetically. The Barraki also being the first Bionicle set-line with very individualized designs that btw each is magnificent kickstarted the year beautifully. The scary beginnings of 2007 with Creeps from the Deep transitioning to the high tech underwater SWAT aesthetic of the Toa Mahri taking over made the year feel like a strong thematic action movie.
