A new Mata Nui sights. Heck yeah.I made this 90 % on stream and it was really fun. Thank you to the peeps for joining me while i did it.
This place is so oddly lit but also obviously objectively pretty.. So i hope i captured some of that.

Been a huge fan of Bionicle since I was a kid, got the first sets in 2001, and I loved the MNOG a lot. Always wished there was a more in-depth exploration version. These arts are amazing!

I'll be honest, I love all of the different regions that was made for MNOG, but Onu-Wahi always had a special place in my heart. The Great Mine and Cavern of Light in particular are two of my absolute favorite places in all of Mata Nui because the Mine had such a majestic sense of scale while the Cavern was downright magical for the simple fact that it was like looking up at a starlit night even though you were thousands of feet underground.
So while all of your pieces in the Mata Nui Sights series are an absolute masterpiece, this one takes the cake. You've captured that sense of wonderment about the Cavern of Light in this piece with a combination of scale, lighting, and drawing style. You've not only expanded on the Cavern's size by showing just how large it really is, but the dark color palette with the bright green lightstones really hits home on how this IS the source of all light in the dark underground. What's more, I love how you drew the water pools. They're completely stagnant and while the darkness means that the water too would appear to be an inky pool, you went through the trouble of showing the reflection of the Cavern's ceiling and muting the glow of the Lightstones in the reflections subtly so that you'd think they're just lightstones lying on the ground at first glance.
Sorry for rambling, but this picture just hit me in the childhood. I love not only this drawing, but the rest of your Mata Nui Sights as well!

Thank you for your kind words! I'm glad you like this piece in particular since I'm not very content about a lot of things in it, due to the short amount of time i spend on it. I like to treasure realistic lighting over readability from time to time. This that is a great example of that. I think having a wondrous cave like this being lit up in a way that obscures what it is, is perfect. Lights all over the place that makes the room seem infinite.

If only BIONICLE community was alive T.T It is almost dead if you ask me. Even TTV channel on YouTube barely gets thousands of views these days. Bionicle is sooo dead
