Description
For the Bionicle Art Squad challenge #49: Movie scene recreation. The challenge was to choose a scene from any movie (non-bionicle) and then make a bionicle-version of that scene.
Can you guess what movie this scene is from?
This image is sooooo low in quality by my own standards. the lines are sketchy as shit and i tried to lay down some quick colour which... well, I just felt my colour-blindness a lot doing the backgrounds ._.
On the plus-side I really enjoyed planning the scenes and putting sfx in there ^^.... good comic-making training.

If you're colorblind, then this must've been a pain to color!

heh Thanks. it's a very mild colour-blindness though so it's not so bad. ^^

I love the fact that Takua and Jala are how they look in the first MNOG game.

I was lazy! xD... but actually now that I think more about it, I feel like the matoran almost look too big when standing next to a Toa in their big form. They almost look like half-Toa. Too independent. It fits the MNOGII theme very nicely since that game really gives you a sense of matoran being capable and powerful on their own, but I like having the Toa look powerful and parent-like in relation to a matoran.

I am mild Protan colourblind, yes.. I struggle seeing the difference between hues of red/green, yellow/lime-green and purple/blue.

Jala and Takua should look like 2003 Matoran, not 2001 Tohunga.

"In the beginning, there was energized protodermis. We know not where it comes from, only that it has the power to create worlds and fill them with life. That is how our race was born, and for a time we lived in harmony. But like all great power, some wanted it for good, and others for evil. And so began the Core War, a battle that ravaged our planet until it was consumed by death..."

Man, I loved this scene as a kid, mainly because it fit with the typical Pohatu luck xD "Danger? What danger could there - oh, THAT danger"

This is, if you have not guessed it, a scene from the 2007 Transformers movie recreated into Bionicle. This was the art-challenge But you are right, the reason i choose this scene was because it lines so neatly up with the underground segment in the Mask of Light ^^

Well, the admins have a closed thing, but anyone can (and should) post their ideas for an art challenge.. There is a community chat for everyone to join on skype if interested. You can check the terms out on tumblr.. I'm rarely doing anything for the group ^^' so ask if you wanna know more about it.
Also thank you
