Description
This is an artwork that I have just completed. I think wolves are wonderful creatures and although from the real world I hope this composition implies an element of fantasy by the character's unusual friendship. The girl's crouched pose leaning into the wolf is designed to look as if she might run off away from the viewer and join the wolves rather than chose human company. I have made their eyes quite similar to also hint at this tie in.A big thanks to photographer Neil Chapman and model Samii for the photo that I used as reference when painting the girl.

Wow this is fantastic! I love the earthy colors in this piece. Β Looks like the girl and the wolf are family to one another, and I bet they help keep each other alive in the wild. I like how you put similar elements in both the girl and the wolf, like you said, the eyes really fit one another. Β There's the paw print on the girls shoulder, and they both are wearing fuzzy coats. I like how you show the wolf as a respectful, noble, and loyal creature. Β That is something really beautiful about these creatures. Β I do kind of wish you could have off centered the characters a little bit just to add interest to the composition, maybe paint in a little more of the background to see more of the landscape on the left side of the picture, but having them centered does give them more of a spotlight. Overall this is stunning, and I congratulate you for finishing this piece!

I love this. I was listening to Dirty Paws by Of Monsters and Men, and I just saw this. I love the girl--the fact that she looks more feral in stance and expression, but still retains human features is perfection. <3

So pretty.Β New art concept for you if you plan on doing another in this theme.Β Autumn color schemed woods with shadowed/blurred wolf head around outer edges as central figure.Β More detailed as you narrow in on face and eyes.Β Within eyes should be small girl reflections with wolf eyes/mirrored eyes.Β Named The Watcher.
Not sure if that made any sense or if you can picture my vision...I'd do it myself, but I only excel at stick figures
