Impact
With the original of this piece making a landslide victory in a poll on the world stage, the re-release always needed to match the originals impact and quality overall. I'm glad to say it does not disappoint, the main (and only, from what I can see) change is the desaturation, which to my mind makes the image even more timeless than it originally was, Long gone are the days when sights exactly like this were the norm, and images such as this are an excellent throwback to that golden era. This angle has been replicated in other places however, so as a result originality goes down. But everything else remains the same, whereas others will try as near to lineside as possible, angles like this should not be discredited, and for the effort of finding this spot vision and technique go up. As for impact, well, do I need to say much else?

Desaturation alone would have produced a much darker image, so I had to adjust each of the six black & white channels separately.
Also I lowered the rods as I have been threatening to do for quite a while now.
Thanks

Personally, I prefer the colour version, simply because the colours in it are so rich and vivid.
