Description
Thundra, the Ghidorah-killer. A genetically modified clone of Godzilla, created using samples of the original's DNA. It was brought to life in a last ditch effort to take down the monster known as King Ghidorah which had been spreading destruction and terror across the earth. When the two beasts finally met on the battle field it made short work of it's opponent, having been modified to absorb electricity into it's body to power and heal itself. It appeared as though their mission had been successful until the device used to control Thundra began to malfunction. Humanity was once again at the mercy of their own creation.Related content

Awesome!
But why is that whenever humanity makes a monster then uses a device to control it, the device malfunctions?

Subtextually because man cannot control nature, nor should we try to bend independent organisms to our own devices.
In-story, because we have to get to the monster brawl *somehow*, and also because in sci-fi humanity can't do *anything* right.
