Prince Naveen from Disney's "Princess and the Frog" Royal Family Tree.
LOLOL Besides arguing how NOTblack!!!1 Naveen is, people also argue about what the heck kind of fictional country Maldonia really is, if he's SpanishPortugueseBrazilian something (based on his accent) or ArabicIndianMorrocoAlgerian something (based on his facial features and name). LOLHAY HOW ABOUT HE'S ALL THESE BEAUTIFUL THINGS, GUISE? :3

Not to mention he's a great character with an actual personality yayyyy
Even if it's haphazard, it has some interesting potential for backstory.

I LOVED HIM. I mean, I enjoyed the whole movie, but I loved Naveen. I WANTED TO CURL UP INSIDE HIM LIKE A WARM KITTEN. He was such a jerk but he had the most personality and the most (realistic) growth in the whole movie.
And his jazzy pants made me happy

I smiled every time Naveen started talking, he was hilarious and now my favorite Disney prince. Probably because he actually has an off putting personality, but is still sweet as hell anyway.

I read somewhere that Maldonia was supposed to be a Mediterranean country that is a ix of Malta, and Macedonia.
I love the looks of these headshots, with the sketchy-ness and the color on them.

It brought me no small amount of pleasure to watch a Disney movie where the leading guy and girl didn't fall in love at first sight just based on looks, but actually PERSONALITY!!! Thank-you, Princess and the Frog!

That's true... Belle and Beast did start out with a rocky relationship, but they overcame it and grew to love each other.
I find those types of relationships to be far more interesting than: "Boy meets girl. Boy falls in love with girl because she's beautiful and can sing. Girl falls in love with boy because he's a prince and handsome. They live happily ever after."
But thanks for reminding me about Beauty and the Beast.

And I think his ambiguously brown thing going on gives him a lot of exotic flair which makes him even more attractive. And I do agree that if he'd been made explicitly black, people would complain that Disney was implying that black men are lazy womanizers who play ukulele.

Over-all, the movie was pretty badass. All the players were actually well-developed, for once. And Naveen was awesome.

I mean, they imply that it's France. Between Gaston, Lumiere, and Belle. But they never say. It's suspension of disbelief, aided by the fact that basically every kid that sees it files it under "abstract fantasy land".

France was not always completely unified though (most modern European nations weren't, I know Italy wasn't) so he might have been the prince of a particular region of France rather than all of France.
