(repostin something I made a while back while I wait for photoshop in other computer to work so I can finish commishes b4 weekend.)'I drew this in mind when I read an article some weeks back (which I want to find again, but I cannot find it???) I read about one woman who took her youngest daughter to see "Princess and the Frog" . Seeing her little girl make OMG!ENCHANTED!FACE and thinking the new generation gets to have Tiana while her generation did not.
This thought made her bawww in the theater.
I also bawwww while thinking of this.
It's sad but happy at the same time.
It's kind of like when I first saw "Mulan" the first time as a little girl. I was personally moved.
...
Because all the "issues" and some flaws of this film aside, I felt the movie and Tiana were made with sincerity and love, not just something to be marketed, which is important when bringing to life a story you want to move people with.

That... was my face when I watched Nausicaa Of The Valley Of The Wind for the first time. There's another beautiful film with a strong princess lead. (But I did gawp wider at Laputa: Castle In The Sky.)

i just have to say that disney is really coming back the princess and the frog was like a welcome back party.
im thirteen but my parents made sure i watched all the Disney princesses and watching the princess and the frog i felt like i was five years old again watching Ariel fight Ursula or Mulan save china or belle fall in love with the beast. Disney really is bringing back its old charm and this picture really just proves it great no fantastic no absolutely an amazing job thank you for-letting every one be reminded of how they feel while seeing Disney classics

This reminds me of when I went to see the re-release of Beauty and the Beast in 3D. I was happy to see there were a lot of little kids in the theatre, but the best part was when Belle came out in her ball gown, and a little girl a couple rows behind me went "OOOoooh!" It was the most adorable thing.

Mulan is one of my favorite movies, and even though I was too young to remember it when it came out, it always speaks out to me. I love The Princess and the Frog, too! It's got this Cajun-y wonderfulness that makes me feel warm inside.

That's what all Disney movies are like in my book. They all have some way of making people feel something whether it's good or bad. Even with all the stuff that happened through the years the company was able to pull off something as sweet and wonderful as this film and bring back the roots of True Disney magic with the recent ones. And if people say that Disney sucks because its for kids and all about Disney Channel well it's their loss because it's like they stopped believing in something a man almost 100 years ago made for children 'and' adults alike and there is more to Disney in general then some channel on TV.

I'm not African American but I can say that this film had a HUGE impact on me. I've never related to any of the Disney princesses because, well, I'm a workaholic whose goal in life isn't to find life but to work and enjoy life. Seeing this film gave me a new sense of hope that there is more to life than working and you can have it all just as long as you make room for all the important things.
I cannot express how much the film means to me and what this piece stirred in me.
Basically, this piece rocks and captures my personal exprience of the film to a tee. Great work!

Awww, it's adorable! You captured the feeling exactly; I'm in my teens and I had that enchanted feeling watching Tiana on the screen. I've always been a Disney fan and watched almost all the classics, but seeing Princess and the Frog just completed it. Isn't it funny how happy you can feel seeing someone who looks like you on screen? Seeing Tiana, it just completed something in my heart. I know, I sound so stupid but that's just how happy both the movie and your picture made me. Thank you so much for the experience

I loved this movie, makes me remember how much I miss good old Disney movies. My little sister (There's an 8 year diff) hasn't got a clue as to half of the Disney girls are. It's a saddening though
