I was recently criticized for not showing enough diversity in my artwork when it comes to the female figure :/ First and foremost let me just say that I think that women are some of the most powerful and amazing creatures in the world, truly! And while I will admit, I do LOVE drawing the "pear shaped" figure the most, I honestly love all shapes and sizes of the female figure. From average, to pear, to boyish, to curvy, to plus sized, to petite, to banana (whatever the hell that is
) I honestly love them all, and i'd hate to think that anyone out there feels any different.So thus-ly, I promise to start showing more diversity in my works

I think the problem is that many artists start out drawing their ideal woman and never get beyond that it. That's mostly in comics and cartoons. Western animation's more OK with showing a greater variety of women and even making them goofy at times

If you have belly fat spilling over your bikini (yep I'm looking at 'U'), then you are doing something wrong. There is a difference between being curvy and being a tub of lard. Never confuse the two. That being said, this is a quality drawing.

No fucking way. What a MIND-BLOWING statistical anomaly. Considering that there are only 8 body types (let's assume that they are equally common) and that 2.282% of girls born in 2010 (because let's face it you have the maturity of a six year old - oops five year old because you were born on September 5) have a name that starts with the letter T. That means you have a roughly .3% chance of this occurring. That seems slim at first, but consider that it's 3/1000 and millions of people visit deviantart.com every year (in fact it is the 182nd most popular domain name out of all domains on the entire internet). Do the math and lose your special snowflake mentality. You are a statistic and nothing more.
Also, be consistent in your use of 'lol' / 'lel'. Pick one.

I really like this and how well you executed it! And I know the feeling about showing diversity because sometimes it's hard to do the things we haven't done yet and it's hard to break that habit. I think all of the ones in the picture are lovely!

All women's curves are beautiful. They're just not all the same. It took me a while to realize that and figure it into my drawing.

The point is that some don't have curves but that it doesn't matter cuz theyr still beautiful.

Everybody's like "I'm f, or im b" you're missing the point of the art, and making then "L's" feel bad. It's meant to show a womans figure shouldn't matter.
Ladies it doesn't matter what letter you are, you are all beautiful and always will be no matter what man, woman, or immature idiot that flames my comment, says about you.

Idk, looking through several pages, I didn't really see much of that. And I saw many people who are not "f"s or "b"s comment about which one is closest to them.
I really don't think people are trying to be offensive or braggy. (though I did see a few people grasping for reasons to be offended) If anything, it's neat to see just how diverse people really are with so many of these represented in the comments.

I love this piece so much! I absolutely hate all of the in fighting women do over figures. Why is it thick women should belittle lithe women's figures and visa versa!? We're all lovely, we're all different. We should encourage one another instead of dragging each other down with pettiness.
