Glad to see you've completed, was a bit worried for a while. The last few have put a smile on my face

You know how I tend to diddle daddle. :B
Takes me ages to make the raw idea into the finished form, I can never quite find the right words.

I love how your haiku present the world through your own eyes to readers. It's very interesting, especially for some of us who have never been to Malaysia.
This project has been tons of fun, thanks again for hosting it! :]

Thanks, it made me realize what a responsibility being host is. And I wasn't even a very good host
Happy to see someone liking the two line haiku. Personally, I feel the English haiku works well as a couplet.

Al of these are such vibrant pictures of spring, my favourites are 4, 10, 18, 24 and 28 (that's a lot of favourites...), the imagery in these particularly stood out to me, I could see everything so clearly. Thanks for organising all this, it was fun!

2/3 remind you of basho? I'm honoured.
4/3 happy to know which is your favourite.
11/3 It's lovely word, an despite the syllable count, I feel it's a soft smooth word.
16/3 I totally didn't think of that
21/3 PCs humming are funny, okay, now you're just being weird

there are lots of energy in these haiku, and some of the pictures are very vivid, like little kids as Buddha statues
27 is also great, the weather is crazy everywhere these days

i'm starting to either return (for those haikuthon spring collections i posted early comments to), or come to those who's collections i still need & want to look over and comment on at last now that the March challenge is winding down to the last days - in this case, two more days.
It's good to see that you've been able to stay the course to the end - in this case, just a few more days left. But unlike your journal's title, the month is not ended yet, so don't count it out, there is still much to be inspired by.
i particularly love the cultural & local favor of your pieces - as it should be. Haijin from around the world participating, both hemispheres - it stands to reason we read moments that take place in opposing seasons and speaking of plants, flowers, sights & sounds that are alien & exotic to the minds of many.
#11 explains well the way of nature's voice without the expected drama of a full-blown storm
#16 lol! this brings to my mind's eye how rural bite's urban blight right back - hmmm... that could be a little piece unto itself...
rooster showdown
rural bite's urban blight
right back
heehee!
#18 perfectly with brevity a real scene of a man's patient siege
# 22 i've lived through numerous wet seasons and always on local news there's someone who never listens when they're told to stay out of the river basin (the Los Angeles river) that runs to the sea - no way to get out and no way to be found if the helicopers can't see you.
# 27 wow! ...been there, done that!
Your collection is filled with the colors & energy of your world - which brings to me an everyman's view of that world.

day 3
great one, comical and rouse a sense of anticipation at the same time.
day 12
as a cat lover, i totally understand why the kitten is so 'heavy' and unmovable.
day 14 and 15
act well as a couplet put together side by side. i guess only people who know your culture of 'yaaa sin' and 'yaaaam sing' understand this pair.
i like them for the slight satirical implications.
do you have another half set of haiku for this haiku-thon?

Iscariot-Priest In reply to moyanII [2008-03-21 06:17:34 +0000 UTC]
I swear almost every poet is a cat person!
If you live around enough different cultures long enough, you start to notice how they've lotsa similarities, sometimes making bizarre parallels
but yeah, I'm guilty of using very localized ideas (days 8,9,14,15,20)
Sorry, been so busy, I keep forgetting to update (classic lazy bones ) It's up now.
